nor are you going to worship him whom i worship.
ва шумо парастандаи чизе, ки ман мепарастам, нестед,

nor are you going to serve him whom i serve:
ва шумо парастандаи чизе, ки ман мепарастам, нестед,

are you, then, going to contend with him regarding what he sees with his eyes?
Оё дар он чӣ мебинад, бо Ӯ ҷидол (баҳс) мекунед?

there you are! you are called upon to spend in the way of allah.
Огоҳ бошед ки шуморо даъват мекунанд то дар роҳи Худо садақа кунед.

this too is a blessed message that we revealed. are you going to deny it?
Ин муборак Қуръонест, ки нозил кардаем, Оё мункири он ҳастед?

are you going to compel the people to believe except by god's dispensation?
Бе хости Худо ҳеҷ касро нарасад, ки имон биёварад.

and it was said to the people: "are you (too) going to assemble?
Ва мардумро гуфтанд: «Оё шумо низ ҷамъ меоед?

say, “it is revealed to me that your god is one god. are you going to submit?”
Бигӯ: «Ба ман ваҳй шуда, ки Худой шумо Худоест якто, оё ба Ӯ гардан мениҳед?»

he said, "are you arguing with me about god, while he has guided me?
Гуфт; «Оё дар бораи Оллоҳ бо ман баҳс мекунед ва ҳол он ки Ӯ маро ҳидоят кардааст?

are you arguing with me over names, which you and your ancestors invented, for which god sent down no authority?
Оё дар бораи ин бутҳое; ки худ ва падаронатон ба ин номҳо номидаед ва Худо ҳеҷ далеле бар онҳо нозил насохтааст, бо ман ҳусумат мекунед?

say, “are you going to teach god about your religion, when god knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and god is aware of all things?”
Бигӯ: «Оё мехоҳед Худоро аз диндории худ огоҳ кунед? Ҳол он ки Худо аз ҳар чӣ дар осмонҳову ҳар чӣ дар замин аст, огоҳ аст ва Ӯ ба ҳар чизе олим аст!»

or lest you say, "our forefathers associated others with god before our time, and we are only the descendants who came after them. so are you going to destroy us for what those inventors of falsehood did?"
Ё нагӯед, ки падарони мо пеш аз ин мушрик буданд ва мо насле будем баъд аз онҳо ва оё ба сабаби коре, ки гумроҳон карда буданд, моро ба ҳалокат мерасонӣ?

just recall the time when your lord said to the angels, "i am going to appoint a vicegerent on the earth." they humbly enquired, "are you going to appoint such a one as will cause disorder and shed blood on the earth?
Ва чун Парвардигорат ба фариштагон гуфт: «Ман дар замин халифае меофаринам», гуфтанд: «Оё касеро меофарини, ки дар он ҷо фасод кунад ва хунҳо бирезад ва ҳол он ки мо ба ситоиши Ту тасбеҳ мегӯем ва Туро ба поки иқрор мекунем?».

a believing man from pharaoh's family, who had concealed his faith, said, “are you going to kill a man for saying, `my lord is god,’ and he has brought you clear proofs from your lord?
Ва марде мӯъмин аз хонадони Фиръавн, ки имонашро пинҳон дошта буд, гуфт: «Оё мардеро, ки мегӯяд, ки Парвардигори ман Худои яктост ва бо далелҳои равшан аз ҷониби Парвардигоратон омадааст, мекушед?

even though you may show every kind of sign to the people of the book, they will not adopt your giblah, nor are you going to adopt their giblah; nor will any of them adopt the giblah of the other; therefore if, after the knowledge you have received, you follow their desires, you will certainly be counted among the transgressors.
Барои аҳли китоб ҳар бурҳону нишонае, ки биёвари, аз қиблаи ту пайравӣ нахоҳанд кард ва ту низ аз қиблаи онҳо пайравӣ намекунӣ ва онҳо ҳам худ пайравӣ қиблаи якдигар нахоҳанд буд. Ҳар гоҳ пас аз огоҳӣ паи хоҳишҳои эшон биравӣ, аз ситамкорон хоҳӣ буд.

and even if you were to bring to the people of the scripture (jews and christians) all the ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they would not follow your qiblah (prayer direction), nor are you going to follow their qiblah (prayer direction). and they will not follow each other's qiblah (prayer direction).
Барои аҳли китоб ҳар бурҳону нишонае, ки биёвари, аз қиблаи ту пайравӣ нахоҳанд кард ва ту низ аз қиблаи онҳо пайравӣ намекунӣ ва онҳо ҳам худ пайравӣ қиблаи якдигар нахоҳанд буд.
