uqalekisiwe olahlekisa imfama endleleni; bathi bonke abantu, amen.
cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. and all the people shall say, amen.

uthi aze kufika ebhetesayida; bazise imfama kuye, bambongoze ukuba ayichukumise.
and he cometh to bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

and jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. and they call the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

aphendule athi kuyo uyesu, uthanda ukuba ndikwenzele ntoni na? yathi ke imfama kuye, rabhoni, ndithanda ukuba ndibone.
and jesus answered and said unto him, what wilt thou that i should do unto thee? the blind man said unto him, lord, that i might receive my sight.

ke kaloku wathetha umzekeliso kubo, esithi, ingakhe ibe nako na imfama ukukhokela imfama? aziyi kuthi na zombini zeyele emhadini?
and he spake a parable unto them, can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

baza kufika eyeriko. ekuphumeni kwakhe eyeriko apho, nabafundi bakhe nendimbane elingeneyo, unyana katimeyu, ubhartimeyu, imfama, waye ehleli ngasendleleni engqiba.
and they came to jericho: and as he went out of jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind bartimaeus, the son of timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

and he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
