( ከእርሱ ) የሁለት ደጋኖች ጫፍ ያህል ወይም ( ከዚህ ) ይበልጥ የቀረበ ኾነም ፡ ፡

and when they board a ship , they supplicate allah , sincere to him in religion . but when he delivers them to the land , at once they associate others with him
በመርከቦች ውስጥ በተሳፈሩ ጊዜም አላህን መገዛትን ለእርሱ ብቻ ያጠሩ ኾነው ይጠሩታል ፡ ፡ ወደ የብስ ( በማውጣት ) ባዳናቸው ጊዜም ወዲያውኑ እነርሱ ( ጣዖትን ) ያጋራሉ ፡ ፡

ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
እናንተ ዕውሮች መሪዎች፥ ትንኝን የምታጠሩ ግመልንም የምትውጡ።

and was at a distance of two bows ' length or ( even ) nearer ,
( ከእርሱ ) የሁለት ደጋኖች ጫፍ ያህል ወይም ( ከዚህ ) ይበልጥ የቀረበ ኾነም ፡ ፡

or , that he will not seize them , a little at a time and destroy them ? indeed , your lord is clement , the most merciful .
ወይም ቀስ በቀስ በማጉደል ላይ የሚይዛቸው መኾኑን ( አይፈሩምን ) ጌታችሁም በእርግጥ ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

and was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or ( even ) nearer ;
( ከእርሱ ) የሁለት ደጋኖች ጫፍ ያህል ወይም ( ከዚህ ) ይበልጥ የቀረበ ኾነም ፡ ፡

and those who disbelieve , say. this is naught but a falsehood thathe hath fabricated and there have assisted him therein other people. so surelythey have aimed at a wrong and a fraud .
እነዚያም የካዱት ይህ ( ቁርኣን ሙሐመድ ) የቀጠፈው በእርሱም ላይ ሌሎች ሕዝቦች ያገዙት የኾነ ውሸት እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም አሉ ፡ ፡ በእርግጥም በደልንና እብለትን ሠሩ ፡ ፡

and say thou , my lord ! cause me to land at a landing blest , and thou art the best of these who bring to land .
በልም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ብሩክ የኾነን ማውረድ አውርደኝ ፡ ፡ አንተም ከአውራጆች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

for god had helped you during the battle of badr at a time when you were helpless . so act in compliance with the laws of god ; you may well be grateful .
በበድርም እናንተ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳለ አላህ በእርግጥ ረዳችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ፍሩት ፡ ፡

and say : my lord ! cause me to land at a blessed landing-place , for thou art best of all who bring to land .
በልም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ብሩክ የኾነን ማውረድ አውርደኝ ፡ ፡ አንተም ከአውራጆች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

but we surely can produce for thee magic the like thereof ; so appoint a tryst between us and you , which neither we nor thou shall fail to keep , at a place convenient ( to us both ) .
« መሰሉንም ድግምት እናመጣብሃለን ፡ ፡ በእኛና ባንተም መካከል እኛም አንተም የማንጥሰው የኾነ ቀጠሮን በመካከለኛ ስፍራ አድርግልን » አለ ፡ ፡

and pray , “ my lord ! cause me to alight at a blessed place – and you are the best of all who bring to settle . ”
