they said : if thou cease not , o lot , thou wilt soon be of the outcast .
( እነርሱም ) አሉ « ሉጥ ሆይ ! ባትከለከል በእርግጥ ( ከአገር ) ከሚወጡት ትኾናለህ ፡ ፡ »

no indeed ! if he does not cease , we shall seize him by the forelock ,
ይተው ባይከለከል አናቱን ይዘን እንጎትተዋለን ፡ ፡

they said : we shall by no means cease to be its votaries till moses return unto us .
« ሙሳ ወደእኛ እስከሚመለስ በእርሱ ( መገዛት ) ላይ ከመቆየት ፈጽሞ አንወገድም » አሉ ፡ ፡

if we willed , we verily could make it chaff , then would ye cease not to exclaim :
ብነሻ ኖሮ ደረቅ ስብርብር ባደረግነውና የምትደነቁም በኾናችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

and had thy lord willed , he would surely have made mankind of one community , and they will not cease differing .
ጌታህም በሻ ኖሮ ሰዎችን ሁሉ አንድ ሕዝብ ባደረጋቸው ነበር ፡ ፡ የተለያዩም ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

and if your lord had willed , he could have made mankind one community ; but they will not cease to differ .
ጌታህም በሻ ኖሮ ሰዎችን ሁሉ አንድ ሕዝብ ባደረጋቸው ነበር ፡ ፡ የተለያዩም ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

and fight them until persecution is no more , and religion is all for allah . but if they cease , then lo !
ሁከትም እስከማትገኝ ሃይማኖትም ሁሉ ለአላህ ብቻ እስከሚኾን ድረስ ተጋደሏቸው ፡ ፡ ቢከለከሉም አላህ የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነው ፡ ፡

and those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the hour come upon them unawares , or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day .
እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ሰዓቲቱ በድንገት እስከምትመጣባቸው ወይም ( ከደግ ነገር ) መካን የሆነው ቀን ቅጣት እስከሚመጣባቸው ድረስ ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

and recall what time musa said unto his page : i shall not cease until i reach the confluence of the two seas , or i shall go on for ages .
ሙሳም ለወጣቱ « የሁለቱን ባሕሮች መገናኛ እስከምደርስ ወይም ብዙን ጊዜ እስከምኼድ ድረስ ( ከመጓዝ ) አልወገድም » ያለውን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

and the unbelievers will not cease to be in doubt of it , until the hour comes on them suddenly , or there shall come upon them the chastisement of a barren day .
እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ሰዓቲቱ በድንገት እስከምትመጣባቸው ወይም ( ከደግ ነገር ) መካን የሆነው ቀን ቅጣት እስከሚመጣባቸው ድረስ ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

and fight them until there is no oppression , and worship becomes devoted to god alone . but if they cease , then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors .
ሁከት እስከማይገኝና ሃይማኖት ለአላህ ብቻ እስከሚኾን ድረስ ተጋደሉዋቸው ፡ ፡ ቢከለክሉም ወሰንን ማለፍ ፤ በበዳዮች ላይ እንጂ የለም ( ወሰን አትለፉባቸው ) ፡ ፡

' we will not cease , ' they said , ' to cleave to it , until moses returns to us . ' )
« ሙሳ ወደእኛ እስከሚመለስ በእርሱ ( መገዛት ) ላይ ከመቆየት ፈጽሞ አንወገድም » አሉ ፡ ፡

' by god , ' they said , ' thou wilt never cease mentioning joseph till thou art consumed , or among the perishing . '
( እነርሱም ) « በአላህ እንምላለን ፡ ፡ ለጥፋት የቀረብክ እስከምትሆን ወይም ከጠፊዎቹ እስከምትሆን ድረስ ዩሱፍን ከማውሳት አትወገድም » አሉ ፡ ፡

and fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression , and there prevail justice and faith in allah ; but if they cease , let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression .
