« ሉጥ ሆይ ! እኛ የጌታህ መልክተኞች ነን ፡ ፡ ( ሕዝቦችህ ) ወደ አንተ ( በክፉ ) አይደርሱብህም ፡ ፡ ቤተሰብህንም ይዘህ ከሌሊቱ በከፊሉ ውስጥ ሊድ ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም አንድም ( ወደኋላው ) አይገላመጥ ፡ ፡ ሚስትህ ብቻ ስትቀር ፡ ፡ እነሆ እርሷን ( እነሱን ) የሚያገኛቸው ስቃይ ያገኛታልና ፡ ፡ ቀጠሯቸው እንጋቱ ላይ ነው ፡ ፡ ንጋቱ ቅርብ አይደለምን » አሉት ፡ ፡

and your people will in no way be able to hurt you . so depart with your family in a part of the night and let no one of you turn around excepting your wife ( who shall not go ) ; for what will befall them shall also befall her .

and when they meet those who believe they say : we believe , and when they are alone one with another they say : do you talk to them of what allah has disclosed to you that they may contend with you by this before your lord ? do you not then understand ?
እነዚያንም ያመኑትን ባገኙ ጊዜ « አምነናል » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ ከፊላቸውም ወደ ከፊሉ ባገለለ « ጊዜ አላህ በናንተ ላይ በገለጸላቸሁ ነገር እጌታችሁ ዘንድ በርሱ እንዲከራከሩዋችሁ ትነግሩዋቸዋላችሁን ? አታውቁምን ? » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

they ( the angels ) said : ' lot , we are the messengers of your lord , they shall not touch you . depart with your family in the watch of the night and let none of you turn round , except your wife .
