my exhorting will not benefit you , much as i may seek to exhort you , if allah desires to consign you to perversity . he is your lord , and to him you shall be brought back . ’
« ለእናንተም ልመክራችሁ ብሻ አላህ ሊያጠማችሁ ሽቶ እንደ ኾነ ምክሬ አይጠቅማችሁም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ጌታችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወደ እርሱም ትመለሳላችሁ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and recall what time luqman said unto his son , while he was exhorting him : o my son ! associate not aught with allah ; verily this associating is surely a tremendous wrong .
ሉቅማንም ለልጁ እርሱ የሚገሥጸው ሲኾን « ልጄ ሆይ ! በአላህ ( ጣዖትን ) አታጋራ ፡ ፡ ማጋራት ታላቅ በደል ነውና » ያለውን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

and call to mind when luqman said to his son while exhorting him : “ my son , do not associate others with allah in his divinity . surely , associating others with allah in his divinity is a mighty wrong . ”
