and when a suggestion from satan assails you , take refuge with god . he is hearing and knowing .
ከሰይጣንም ( በኩል ) ጉትጎታ ቢያገኝህ በአላህ ተጠበቅ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

when any evil suggestion from satan touches those who fear god , they are instantly alerted and become watchful ;
እነዚያ የተጠነቀቁት ከሰይጣን የኾነ ዘዋሪ በነካቸው ጊዜ ( ጌታቸውን ) ይገነዘባሉ ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እነሱ ተመልካቾች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡

and if an evil suggestion comes to you from satan , then seek refuge in allah . indeed , he is hearing and knowing .
ከሰይጣንም ( በኩል ) ጉትጎታ ቢያገኝህ በአላህ ተጠበቅ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

and if there comes to you from satan an evil suggestion , then seek refuge in allah . indeed , he is the hearing , the knowing .
ከሰይጣንም ጉትጎታ ቢያገኝህ ( ከመልካም ጠባይም ቢመልስህ ) በአላህ ተጠበቅ ፡ ፡ እነሆ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

if the god-fearing are instigated by any suggestion of satan , they instantly become alert , whereafter they clearly perceive the right way .
እነዚያ የተጠነቀቁት ከሰይጣን የኾነ ዘዋሪ በነካቸው ጊዜ ( ጌታቸውን ) ይገነዘባሉ ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እነሱ ተመልካቾች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡

but the shaitan made an evil suggestion to him ; he said : o adam ! shall i guide you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom which decays not ?
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

it is not given to man that god should speak to him except by suggestion or indirectly , or send a messenger to convey by his command whatsoever he please . he is all-high and all-wise .
ለሰውም አላህ በራእይ ፣ ወይም ከግርዶ ወዲያ ፣ ወይም መልክተኛን ( መልአክን ) የሚልክና በፈቃዱ የሚሻውን ነገር የሚያወርድለት ቢኾን እንጅ ( በገሃድ ) ሊያናግረው ተገቢው አይደለም ፡ ፡ እርሱ የበላይ ጥበበኛ ነውና ፡ ፡

( remember ) when he covered you with a slumber as a security from him , and he caused water ( rain ) to descend on you from the sky , to clean you thereby and to remove from you the rijz ( whispering , evil-suggestions , etc . ) of shaitan ( satan ) , and to strengthen your hearts , and make your feet firm thereby .
ከእርሱ በኾነው ጸጥታ ( በጦር ግንባር ) በእንቅልፍ በሸፈናችሁና ውሃውንም በእርሱ ሊያጠራችሁ ፣ የሰይጣንንም ጉትጎታ ከእናንተ ሊያስወግድላችሁ ፣ ልቦቻችሁንም ( በትዕግስት ) ሊያጠነክርላችሁ ፣ በእርሱም ጫማዎችን ( በአሸዋው ላይ ) ሊያደላድልላችሁ በእናንተ ላይ ከሰማይ ባወረደላችሁ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡
