and he found thee wandering , so he guided thee ,
የሳትክም ኾነህ አገኘህ መራህም ፡ ፡

did he not find you wandering , and give you guidance ?
የሳትክም ኾነህ አገኘህ መራህም ፡ ፡

and he found thee wandering , and he gave thee guidance .
የሳትክም ኾነህ አገኘህ መራህም ፡ ፡

have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley
እነርሱ በ ( ንግግር ) ሸለቆ ሁሉ የሚዋልሉ መኾናቸውን አታይምን

by thy life , in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered .
በዕድሜህ እንምላለን እነሱ በእርግጥ በስከራቸው ውስጥ ይዋልላሉ ፡ ፡

by your life ! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication .
በዕድሜህ እንምላለን እነሱ በእርግጥ በስከራቸው ውስጥ ይዋልላሉ ፡ ፡

god shall mock them , and shall lead them on blindly wandering in their insolence .
አላህ በነሱ ይሳለቅባቸዋል ፤ በጥመታቸውም ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ ያዘገያቸዋል ፡ ፡

they said : " by allah ! truly thou art in thine old wandering mind . "
« በአላህ እንምላለን ፡ ፡ አንተ በእርግጥ በቀድሞው ስህተትህ ውስጥ ነህ » አሉት ፡ ፡

none can guide those whom allah leaves in error . he leaves them in their insolence , wandering blindly .
አላህ የሚያጠመው ሰው ለእርሱ ምንም አቅኝ የለውም ፡ ፡ በጥምመታቸውም ውስጥ እየዋለሉ ይተዋቸዋል ፡ ፡

allah shall pay them back their mockery , and he leaves them alone in their inordinacy , blindly wandering on .
አላህ በነሱ ይሳለቅባቸዋል ፤ በጥመታቸውም ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ ያዘገያቸዋል ፡ ፡

and even if we gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction , they would persist in their transgression , wandering blindly .
ባዘንንላቸውና ከጉዳትም በእነርሱ ያለውን ባነሳንላቸው ኖሮ በጥመታቸው ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ኾነው ይዘወትሩ ነበር ፡ ፡

and if we have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them , they would still stubbornly persist , wandering in their rebellion .
ባዘንንላቸውና ከጉዳትም በእነርሱ ያለውን ባነሳንላቸው ኖሮ በጥመታቸው ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ኾነው ይዘወትሩ ነበር ፡ ፡

and those among the wandering arabs who had an excuse came in order that permission might be granted them . and those who lied to allah and his messenger sat at home .
ከአዕራቦችም ይቅርታ ፈላጊዎቹ ለእነሱ እንዲፈቀድላቸው መጡ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ አላህንና መልክተኛውን የዋሹትም ተቀመጡ ፡ ፡ ከነሱ እነዚያን የካዱትን አሳማሚ ቅጣት በእርግጥ ይነካቸዋል ፡ ፡

and we will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it the first time . and we will leave them in their transgression , wandering blindly .
በመጀመሪያም ጊዜ በእርሱ እንዳላመኑ ሁሉ ልቦቻቸውንና ዓይኖቻቸውን እናገላብጣለን ፡ ፡ በጥመታቸውም ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ እንተዋቸዋለን ፡ ፡

and we revert their hearts and their eyes – the way they had not believed the first time – and we leave them to keep wandering blindly in their rebellion .
በመጀመሪያም ጊዜ በእርሱ እንዳላመኑ ሁሉ ልቦቻቸውንና ዓይኖቻቸውን እናገላብጣለን ፡ ፡ በጥመታቸውም ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ እንተዋቸዋለን ፡ ፡

and withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
ከዚህም ጋር ቤት ለቤት እየዞሩ ሥራን መፍታት ደግሞ ይማራሉ፥ የማይገባውንም እየተናገሩ ለፍላፊዎችና በነገር ገቢዎች ይሆናሉ እንጂ፥ ሥራ ፈቶች ብቻ አይደሉም።

allah said : ' this land will now be forbidden to them for forty years and they will remain wandering about on the earth . do not grieve over the condition of these transgressing people .
እርስዋም ( የተቀደሰችው መሬት ) በእነርሱ ላይ አርባ ዓመት እርም ናት ፡ ፡ በምድረ በዳ ይንከራተታሉ ፡ ፡ « በአመጸኞችም ሕዝቦች ላይ አትዘን » አለው ፡ ፡

and were allah to hasten the ill unto mankind as their desire for hastening the good , their term would surely have been decreed unto them . so we let alone those who hope not for the meeting with us , wandering in their exorbitance perplexed .
አላህ ለሰዎች ደግን ነገር ለማግኘት እንደ መቻኮላቸው ( አጥፋን ሲሉት ) ክፉን ነገር ቢያስቸኩል ኖሮ ጊዜያቸው ወደነሱ በተፈጸመ ነበር ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም መገናኘታችንን የማይፈሩትን በጥመታቸው ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ እንተዋቸዋለን ፡ ፡

and if allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good , their doom should certainly have been decreed for them ; but we leave those alone who hope not for our meeting in their inordinacy , blindly wandering on .
አላህ ለሰዎች ደግን ነገር ለማግኘት እንደ መቻኮላቸው ( አጥፋን ሲሉት ) ክፉን ነገር ቢያስቸኩል ኖሮ ጊዜያቸው ወደነሱ በተፈጸመ ነበር ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም መገናኘታችንን የማይፈሩትን በጥመታቸው ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ እንተዋቸዋለን ፡ ፡
