และบรรดาผู้ที่ได้รับคัมภีร์ (อะฮฺลุลกิตาบ) นั้น มิได้แตกแยกกัน เว้นแต่หลังจากที่ได้มีหลักฐานอันชัดแจ้งมายังพวกเขาแล้ว

o believers, do not hold unbelievers as friends in preference to the faithful. do you want to proffer a clear proof of your own guilt before god?
ผู้ศรัทธาทั้งหลาย ! จงอย่าได้ยึดเอาบรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาเป็นมิตรอื่นจากผู้ศรัทธาทั้งหลาย พวกเจ้าต้องการที่จะให้อัลลอฮฺมีหลักฐานอันชัดเจนจัดการแก่พวกเจ้ากระนั้นหรือ?

and they say: if only he would bring us a miracle from his lord! hath there not come unto them the proof of what is in the former scriptures?
และพวกเขากล่าวว่า “ทำไมเขาจึงไม่นำสัญญาณหนึ่งจากพระเจ้าของเขามาให้เรา” หรือว่าหลักฐานอันชัดแจ้งที่ปรากฏอยู่ในคัมภีร์ต่าง ๆ สมัยก่อนนั้น มิได้มีมายังพวกเขาดอกหรือ?

she desired him, and he desired her, had he not seen the proof of his lord. it was thus that we diverted evil and indecency away from him. he was one of our loyal servants.
และแท้จริง นางได้ตั้งใจมั่นในตัวเขาและเขาก็ตั้งใจในตัวนาง หากเขาไม่เห็นหลักฐานแห่งพระเจ้าของเขา เช่นนั้นแหละเพื่อเราจะให้ความชั่วและการลามห่างไกลจากเขา แท้จริงเขาคือคนหนึ่งในปวงบ่าวของเราที่สุจริต

and whoever invokes with allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful.
และผู้ใดวิงวอนขอพระเจ้าอื่นคู่เคียงกับอัลลอฮ์ โดยไม่มีหลักฐานพิสูจน์แก่เขาในการนี้ แท้จริงการคิดบัญชีของเขาอยู่ที่พระเจ้าของเขา แท้จริงบรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาจะไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ

or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the higher realm)? then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it.
หรือว่าพวกเขามีบันไดเพื่อพวกเขาจะได้ฟังเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ในชั้นฟ้า ดังนั้นก็จงให้คนที่ฟังในหมู่พวกเขานำหลักฐานอันชัดแจ้งมา

and they say: none entereth paradise unless he be a jew or a christian. these are their own desires. say: bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful.
และพวกเขากล่าวว่า จะไม่มีใครเข้าสวรรค์เลย นอกจากผู้ที่เป็นยิวหรือเป็นคริสเตียนเท่านั้น นั่นคือความเพ้อฝันของพวกเขา จงกล่าวเถิด (มูฮัมมัด) ว่า พวกท่านจงนำหลักฐานของพวกท่านมา ถ้าพวกท่านเป็นผู้พูดจริง

then it appeared to them, after they had seen the proofs (of his innocence) to imprison him for a time.

เขากล่าวว่า “โดยแน่นอนท่านย่อมรู้ดีว่าไม่มีผู้ใดประทานสิ่งเหล่านี้ นอกจากพระเจ้าแห่งชั้นฟ้าทั้งหลายและแผ่นดินเพื่อเป็นพยาน และแท้จริงฉันคิดว่าแน่นอนท่าน โอ้ฟิรเอานเอ๋ย เป็นผู้หายนะแล้ว”
