그들은 너희에게 하나님을 두고 맹세하나 너희가 그들에게 돌아갔을 때 그들을 흘로 두게 하라 또한 그들을 그대로 두라 그들은 불결하나니 그들의 주거지 는 지옥이며 그들이 얻은 것에 대 한 보상이라
they will beg you in the name of god, on your return, to forgive them; but you keep away from them: they are scum; their abode is hell: requital for what they had done.

너희가 그들에게 돌아갔을 때 그들은 너희에게 변명하니 일 러가로되 변명치 말라 우리는 너 희를 믿지 않을 것이라 하나님은 이미 우리에게 너희의 소식을 알 려주셨으며 하나님과 선지자는 너 희의 일을 지켜보시니라 그런후 너희는 보이지 아니한 세계와 보 이는 세계를 알고 계신 그분에게 로 돌아갈 것이니 그분은 너희가 행하고 있는 것을 보여 주리라
they (the hypocrites) will present their excuses to you (muslims), when you return to them. say (o muhammad saw) "present no excuses, we shall not believe you. allah has already informed us of the news concerning you. allah and his messenger will observe your deeds. in the end you will be brought back to the all-knower of the unseen and the seen, then he (allah) will inform you of what you used to do." [tafsir at-tabari]
