GRegarding the fee structure; In our initial proposal we offered fees in line with Colombia offline regulations as discussed at the meeting during my visit to Bogota. In the central contract with Stork several countries are included with a fixed fee table. Since the offline regulations are not common in Europe we sent our latest offer as an alternative for the original proposal. The regulated fees are pre-set by the Colombian government and should be equal in any TMC’s offer (as you probably have seen). To make our offer more competitive we offered the extra discount of 1% in combination with the regulated fees. The offer for a fixed fee is our way to show creativity. If your preference is to have fixed fees we have ways to adjust our administration process so Masa-Stork pays the fixed fees but still stays aligned with government regulations. This having said I believe calculations either way and comparing with the other TMC will show you there is only a relatively small profit to be gained in the fees. I strongly believe the biggest win can be achieved by our fare sourcing tools which are unique in the market, by educating travelbookers in the most economic use of the online tool and thus paying the lowest fees in the pricing grid but at the same time have maximum saving on the ticket-fares and by making use of our team’s creativity in smart ticketing, combining tickets, etc. We have numerous customers that have savings varying from 15% to 25% on their total annual travelspend whereas the total of fees is only 5% of the total spend. If for example a discount on fees is offered of 25% this still only results in 1% in relation to total travelcost. I hope to have clarified our offer, both fixed and regulated still stand.
