as there are so many changed files, it would be much to tedious to backup individual files. if you only wish to install certain files, just check by name which files you will use and make a backup of your original files. if you are using default textures and accidentaly overwrite original files, here is a useful tip to restore your default files without having to reinstall fs9: - there are various compressed folders on your installation cds. open these with your explorer and copy the files you need to the appropiate fs folder (for your convenience, there is a list of the folders on the installation cds in the textfile cabs).
