dear diary. margot died 2 days ago. i cant eat, i cant sleep. im all alone. i think i'm sick too. all day i've been feeling feverish and my back hurts a lot. it is so cold,overcrowded and filthy here. i just wish this war never began and i would still go to school, write stories, go for walks, read and be free. i wish my family was alright and with me, but they're not. i haven't heard anything from dad or peter from the moment we got separated. i hope they are okay. i haven't eaten in two days. all the food i got, i exchanged for blankets. i can feel lice crawling on my skin, all over my body. i look ill and discusting. a ot of women have been dying every day and they don't even get burried. i wonder if they will also just burn me and no-one will remember me. i don't understand what we, jews have done so wrong to deserve this. this is torture. i don't think i have the strength to ever write anymore. thank you for being there for me, always. you have been my friend for four years now and supported me all along. goodbye. anne frank.
