واخذ رئيس الشرط سرايا الكاهن الاول وصفنيا الكاهن الثاني وحارسي الباب الثلاثة

وارسل الملك صدقيا يهوخل بن شلميا وصفنيا بن معسيا الكاهن الى ارميا النبي قائلا صلّ لاجلنا الى الرب الهنا.

وتكون التيجان لحالم ولطوبيا وليدعيا ولحين بن صفنيا تذكارا في هيكل الرب.

كلمة الرب التي صارت الى صفنيا بن كوشي بن جدليا بن امريا بن حزقيا في ايام يوشيا بن آمون ملك يهوذا.

take of them of the captivity, even of heldai, of tobijah, and of jedaiah, which are come from babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of josiah the son of zephaniah;
خذ من اهل السبي من حلداي ومن طوبيا ومن يدعيا الذين جاءوا من بابل وتعال انت في ذلك اليوم وادخل الى بيت يوشيا بن صفنيا.

thus speaketh the lord of hosts, the god of israel, saying, because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at jerusalem, and to zephaniah the son of maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,
هكذا تكلم رب الجنود اله اسرائيل قائلا. من اجل انك ارسلت رسائل باسمك الى كل الشعب الذي في اورشليم والى صفنيا بن معسيا الكاهن والى كل الكهنة قائلا
