ጥቁረት ትሸፍናቸዋለች ፤

o thou enveloped in thy cloak ,
አንተ ( ልብስህን ) ደራቢው ሆይ !

o you enveloped in your cloak !
አንተ ( ልብስህን ) ደራቢው ሆይ !

o you ( muhammad saw ) enveloped ( in garments ) !
አንተ ( ልብስህን ) ደራቢው ሆይ !

of pitch their shirts , their faces enveloped by the fire ,
ቀሚሶቻቸው ከካትራም ናቸው ፡ ፡ ፊቶቻቸውንም እሳት ትሸፍናቸዋለች ፡ ፡

their garments shall be of melted tar , and their faces enveloped by the fire .
ቀሚሶቻቸው ከካትራም ናቸው ፡ ፡ ፊቶቻቸውንም እሳት ትሸፍናቸዋለች ፡ ፡

so they were struck by the evil consequences of what they did and were enveloped by what they used to ridicule .
የሠሩዋቸውም ኀጢአቶች ( ቅጣት ) አገኛቸው ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ሁሉ በነሱ ላይ ወረደባቸው ፡ ፡

so firaun went after them with his army – therefore the sea enveloped them , the way it did .
ፈርዖንም ከሰራዊቱ ጋር ኾኖ ተከተላቸው ፡ ፡ ከባህሩም የሚሸፍን ሸፈናቸው ፡ ፡

and the evil consequences of what they did will appear to them , and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule .
የሠሩዋቸውም ኀጢአቶች ለእነርሱ ይገለጹላቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያም በእርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ቅጣት በእነርሱ ላይ ይወርድባቸዋል ፡ ፡

and already were messengers ridiculed before you , but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule .
ካንተ በፊትም በመልክተኞች በእርግጥ ተላግጧል ፡ ፡ በእነዚያም ከእነሱ ባላገጡት ላይ በእርሱ ያላግጡ የነበሩት ነገር ( ቅጣት ) ወረደባቸው ፡ ፡

so allah protected him from the evils they plotted , and the people of pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment -
ከመከሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች አላህ ጠበቀው ፡ ፡ በፈርዖን ቤተሰቦችም ላይ ክፉ ቅጣት ሰፈረባቸው ፡ ፡

therefore allah saved him from the evils of their scheming , and an evil punishment enveloped the people of firaun . –
ከመከሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች አላህ ጠበቀው ፡ ፡ በፈርዖን ቤተሰቦችም ላይ ክፉ ቅጣት ሰፈረባቸው ፡ ፡

the fire will be shut over them ( i.e. they will be enveloped by the fire without any opening or window or outlet .
በእነርሱ ላይ የተዘጋች እሳት አልለች ፡ ፡

and when their messengers came to them with clear proofs , they [ merely ] rejoiced in what they had of knowledge , but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule .
መልክተኞቻቸውም ተዓምራቶችን ባመጡላቸው ጊዜ እነርሱ ዘንድ ባለው ዕውቀት ተደሰቱ ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ቅጣትም በእነርሱ ላይ ሰፈረባቸው ፡ ፡

and if we hold back from them the punishment for a limited time , they will surely say , " what detains it ? " unquestionably , on the day it comes to them , it will not be averted from them , and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule .
ቅጣቱንም ወደ ተቆጠሩ ( ጥቂት ) ጊዜያቶች ከእነርሱ ብናቆይላቸው « ( ከመውረድ ) የሚከለክለው ምንድን ነው » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ ንቁ ! በሚመጣባቸው ቀን ከእነሱ ላይ ተመላሽ አይደለም ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩትም ( ቅጣት ) በእነርሱ ላይ ይወርድባቸዋል ፡ ፡
