kuma lalle, shĩ, shĩ ne ya halaka Ãdãwa na farko.

a [large] company of the former peoples
jama'a ne daga mutãnen farko.

do they look except for the ways of former nations?
to shin sunã jiran (wani abu ne) fãce dai hanyar (kãfiran) farko.

and fear he who created you and the former creation."
"kuma ku ji tsõron allah wanda ya halitta ku, kũ da jama'ar farko."

and how many a prophet we sent among the former peoples,
alhãli kuwa sau nawa muka aika wani annabi a cikin mutãnen fãrko!

then do they await except the way of the former peoples?
to shin sunã jiran (wani abu ne) fãce dai hanyar (kãfiran) farko.

and indeed before them, most of the former people went astray.
kuma tabbas haƙĩƙa mafi yawan mutãnen farko sun ɓace a gabãninsu.

and that he destroyed the former (tribe of) a'ad,
kuma lalle, shĩ, shĩ ne ya halaka Ãdãwa na farko.

and indeed we sent noble messengers before you, to the former nations.
kuma lalle ne, haƙĩƙa, mun aika manzanni a cikin ƙungiyõyin farko, gabãninka.

nothing keeps us from sending signs except that the former peoples denied them.
kuma bãbu abin da ya hana mu, mu aika da ãyõyi fãce sabõda mutãnen farko sun ƙaryata game da su.

"if we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
"dã lalle munã da wani littãfi irin na mutãnen farko."

[pharaoh] said, "then what is the case of the former generations?"
ya ce: "to, mẽne hãlin ƙarnõnin farko?"

allah said:"grasp it, and fear not, we shall return it to its former state,
ya ce: "ka kãma ta kuma kada ka ji tsõro. za mu mayar da ita ga hãlinta na farko."

he (pharaoh) asked: 'how was it then, with the former generations'
ya ce: "to, mẽne hãlin ƙarnõnin farko?"
