allah brought down from their fortresses those people of the book who had supported the invading confederates and cast such terror into their hearts that some of them you kill and some of them you take captive.
ئه‌وانه‌ی پشتگیری قوڕه‌یشیه‌کانیان کرد له‌خاوه‌نی کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کان، له‌جووه‌کانی (بنی قریزة) خوای گه‌وره له قڵاکانیان دایگرتن، ترس و بیمی فڕێدایه دڵیان، تا وایان لێهات، ده‌سته‌یه‌کتان کوشتن و ده‌سته‌یه‌کیشتان به‌دیل گرتن.

and he brought down those of the people of the book who supported them from their fortresses and cast terror in their hearts; some you slew, some you made captive.
ئه‌وانه‌ی پشتگیری قوڕه‌یشیه‌کانیان کرد له‌خاوه‌نی کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کان، له‌جووه‌کانی (بنی قریزة) خوای گه‌وره له قڵاکانیان دایگرتن، ترس و بیمی فڕێدایه دڵیان، تا وایان لێهات، ده‌سته‌یه‌کتان کوشتن و ده‌سته‌یه‌کیشتان به‌دیل گرتن.

and he brought those of the people of the book who backed them down from their fortresses and cast into their hearts terror; a part of them ye slew, and ye made captives a part.
ئه‌وانه‌ی پشتگیری قوڕه‌یشیه‌کانیان کرد له‌خاوه‌نی کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کان، له‌جووه‌کانی (بنی قریزة) خوای گه‌وره له قڵاکانیان دایگرتن، ترس و بیمی فڕێدایه دڵیان، تا وایان لێهات، ده‌سته‌یه‌کتان کوشتن و ده‌سته‌یه‌کیشتان به‌دیل گرتن.

and he brought down those who supported them among the people of the scripture from their fortresses and cast terror into their hearts [so that] a party you killed, and you took captive a party.
ئه‌وانه‌ی پشتگیری قوڕه‌یشیه‌کانیان کرد له‌خاوه‌نی کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کان، له‌جووه‌کانی (بنی قریزة) خوای گه‌وره له قڵاکانیان دایگرتن، ترس و بیمی فڕێدایه دڵیان، تا وایان لێهات، ده‌سته‌یه‌کتان کوشتن و ده‌سته‌یه‌کیشتان به‌دیل گرتن.

"wheresoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high!" and if some good reaches them, they say, "this is from allah," but if some evil befalls them, they say, "this is from you (o muhammad saw)." say: "all things are from allah," so what is wrong with these people that they fail to understand any word?
(دڵنیا بن) له هه‌ر کوێ بن مردن یه‌خه‌تان پێ ده‌گرێت، با له‌ناو چه‌نده‌ها قه‌ڵاو شوێنی سه‌خت و قایمیشدا بن، (جا دووڕووه‌کان) ئه‌گه‌ر خێریان بێته ڕێ ده‌ڵێن: ئه‌مه له لایه‌ن خواوه‌یه و ئه‌گه‌ر توشی ناخۆشی و زیانێک بێن (به پێغه‌مبه‌ر (صلی الله علیه وسلم) ده‌ڵێن: ئه‌مه‌یان به‌هۆی تۆوه‌یه‌، پێیان بڵێ: هه‌ر هه‌مووی (هه‌رچی پێش دێت) له‌لایه‌ن خواوه‌یه و (بۆ تاقی کردنه‌وه‌یه‌) ئه‌وه بۆچی ئه‌و خه‌ڵکه (باوه‌ڕ لاوازه‌) هیچ شتێک تێناگه‌ن و له ڕاستیه‌کان حاڵیی نابن.
