우리는 진리로 당신께 이르 렀으매 우리가 말함이 진리라

did you think that we had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to us?"
하나님이 너희를 장난으로 창조하였다 생각하였느뇨 실로 너 희는 그분에게로 돌아가니라

had it not been for a prior prescription from god, there had afflicted you, for what you took, a mighty chastisement.
하나님으로부터 율법이 없었 다면 너희가 취한 대가로 너희 위 에 무서운 벌이 있었으리라

for in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
너 희 가 자 기 손 으 로 만 들 어 범 죄 한 은 우 상, 금 우 상 을 그 날 에 는 각 사 람 이 던 져 버 릴 것 이

were it not for a predetermined decree from god, an awful punishment would have afflicted you for what you have taken.
하나님으로부터 율법이 없었 다면 너희가 취한 대가로 너희 위 에 무서운 벌이 있었으리라

"i know not but that it may be a trial for you, and a grant of (worldly) livelihood (to you) for a time."
이것은 너희에 대한 시험 으로 순간의 향락에 불과하니라

and surely they had purposed to turn you away from that which we have revealed to you, that you should forge against us other than that, and then they would certainly have taken you for a friend.
그들은 그대를 유혹하여 그 대로 하여금 하나님이 그대에게 계시한 것에 등을 돌리도록 하고 하나님에 대항하여 다른 것을 조 성하도록 그대를 그들 친구로 하 려 하였도다

and this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
너 희 는 이 날 을 기 념 하 여 여 호 와 의 절 기 를 삼 아 영 원 한 규 례 로 대 대 에 지 킬 지 니 라

say, “had god willed, i would not have recited it to you, and he would not have made it known to you. i have lived among you for a lifetime before it. do you not understand?”
일러가로되 만일 하나님께서원하셨다면 나는 너희에게 그것을 낭송하지 아니 했으리라 또한 그 분은 그것을 너희에게 알리려 하 지도 아니 하였으리라 내가 너희 와 함께 얼마나 체류하였는지 너 희는 알지 못하느뇨

had it not been for a previous ordainment from allah, a severe penalty would have reached you for the (ransom) that ye took.
하나님으로부터 율법이 없었 다면 너희가 취한 대가로 너희 위 에 무서운 벌이 있었으리라

and that you should seek his forgiveness and turn towards him. he will bestow the best things of life on you for a time ordained, and favour those with blessings who are worthy of grace. but if you turn away, i fear the punishment of a terrible day for you.
그러므로 주님깨 용서를 구하고 그분께 회개하라 그리하면 그 분께서는 너희에게 정하신 기간에기쁨과 복음을 주리라 또한 은혜 가 있는 모든 자에게 그분의 은혜가 있나니 만일 너희가 거역한다 면 나는 위대한 날 너희에게 있 을 벌이 두렵노라

and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
이 술 은 너 희 로 보 고 여 호 와 의 모 든 계 명 을 기 억 하 여 준 행 하 고 너 희 로 방 종 ( 放 縱 ) 케 하 는 자 기 의 마 음 과 눈 의 욕 심 을 좇 지 않 게 하 기 위 함 이

(muhammad), tell them, "had god wanted i would not have recited it (the book) to you nor would i have told you anything about it. i lived among you for a whole life-time before it was revealed. will you then not understand?
