iblis berkata: " wahai tuhanku!

said allah, “o iblis!
allah berfirman: " hai lblis!

(allah) said: "o iblis!
allah berfirman: " hai lblis!

together with the hordes of iblis.
"termasuk juga bala tentera iblis semuanya.

and the hosts of iblis all together.
"termasuk juga bala tentera iblis semuanya.

"and the whole hosts of iblis together.
"termasuk juga bala tentera iblis semuanya.

and so too the hosts of iblis, all of them.
"termasuk juga bala tentera iblis semuanya.

except iblis. he refused to bow with the adorers.
melainkan iblis; ia enggan turut bersama mereka yang sujud.

and the whole hosts of iblis (satan) together.
"termasuk juga bala tentera iblis semuanya.

except iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration.
melainkan iblis; ia enggan turut bersama mereka yang sujud.

save iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers.
melainkan iblis; ia berlaku sombong takbur (mengingkarinya) serta menjadilah ia dari golongan yang kafir.

but not iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated.
melainkan iblis; ia enggan turut bersama mereka yang sujud.

but not iblis; he acted arrogantly and he was one of the faithless.
melainkan iblis; ia berlaku sombong takbur (mengingkarinya) serta menjadilah ia dari golongan yang kafir.

god asked iblis, "what made you not join the others in prostration?"
allah berfirman: hai iblis, apa sebabnya engkau tidak turut bersama mereka yang sujud itu?".

(iblis) said: “by your glory, i shall mislead them all
iblis berkata: " demi kekuasaanmu (wahai tuhanku), aku akan menyesatkan mereka semuanya, -

but iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance.
melainkan iblis; ia enggan turut bersama mereka yang sujud.

allah said: o iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates?
allah berfirman: hai iblis, apa sebabnya engkau tidak turut bersama mereka yang sujud itu?".

"all bowed but iblis refused to do so; he waxed proud and joined the defiers.
lalu mereka sekaliannya tunduk memberi hormat melainkan iblis; ia enggan dan takbur, dan menjadilah ia dari golongan yang kafir.
