you eat the inheritance rapaciously,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

and you devour the inheritance greedily,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

and devour the inheritance devouring greedily,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

and ye devour inheritance - all with greed,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

and you devour (others') inheritance greedily,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

why do you take away the inheritance of others indiscriminately
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

we gave these as an inheritance to other people.
(ކަންތައްހުރީ) އެފަދައިންނެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެތަކެތި އެހެންބަޔަކަށް ވާރުތަކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

and you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
އަދި (حرام އެއް حلال އެއް ނުބަލައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ވާރުތަ މުދާ ގިނަގިނައިން ކައިއުޅެމުއެވެ.

even so (it was), and we made it an inheritance for other folk;
(ކަންތައްހުރީ) އެފަދައިންނެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެތަކެތި އެހެންބަޔަކަށް ވާރުތަކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

as their inheritance and as a guide and a reminder to the people of understanding.
(އެއީ) ބުއްދީގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ތެދުމަގެއް ކަމުގައްޔާއި، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

and this is the garden which you are given as an inheritance on account of what you did.
އަދި އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ހެޔޮ عمل ތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް މިލްކުކޮށްދެއްވި ސުވަރުގެއެވެ.

that is paradise which we shall give as an inheritance to those of our servants who are godfearing.
އެއީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަޅުންކުރެ، تقوى ވެރިވީ މީހުންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ވާރުތަކޮށްދެއްވާ ސުވަރުގެއެވެ.

such is the garden which we give as an inheritance to those of our servants who guard against evil.
އެއީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަޅުންކުރެ، تقوى ވެރިވީ މީހުންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ވާރުތަކޮށްދެއްވާ ސުވަރުގެއެވެ.

if other near of kin orphans and needy are pre sent at the time of division of inheritance give them some thing of it and speak to them kindly.
(ތަރިކަ މުދާ) ބަހާތަނަށް (އެ މުދަލުން ނުވާ) ގާތްތިމާގެ މީހުންނާއި، يتيم ންނާއި، مسكين ން حاضر ވެއްޖެނަމަ، (އެ މުދާ ބެހުމުގެ ކުރިން) އެއުރެންނަށް އެއިން އެތިކޮޅެއް ދޭށެވެ! އަދި، އެއުރެންނަށް ހެޔޮބަސް ބުނާށެވެ!

for we have written in the psalms, after the remembrance, 'the earth shall be the inheritance of my righteous servants.'
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، توراة ގެ ފަހުން زبور ގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލިޔުއްވީމެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބިން ވާރުތަވެ މިލްކުވާހުށީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ صالح އަޅުންނަށެވެ.

he giveth it for an inheritance to whom he will. and lo! the sequel is for those who keep their duty (unto him).
موسى ގެފާނު، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ قوم ގެމީހުންނަށް ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން ވާގިއެދޭށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކެތްކުރާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބިން ملك ވެގެންވަނީ اللَّه އަށެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުންގެ ތެރެއިން އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކަށް، އެ ބިން ވާރުތަކޮށްދެއްވައެވެ. އަދި ހެޔޮ ނިމުންވަނީ، تقوى ވެރިންނަށެވެ.

and those who believed afterwards and emigrated, and struggled with you they are of you. and in the book of allah, the near kinsmen deserve one another (in inheritance).
އަދި އޭގެފަހުން إيمان ވެ، هجرة ކޮށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާއެކުގައި جهاد ކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއުރެންވަނީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ. އަދި اللَّه ގެ ފޮތުގައި ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވާގޮތުގައި، ގާތްތިމާގެ މީހުން އޭގެ އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކާ أولى ކަން ބޮޑެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ކޮންމެކަމެއް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and why is it that you do not spend in the way of allah, when the inheritance of the heavens and earth belong to allah alone? those who spent before the victory and took part in the fighting are mightier in rank and are not equal to those who spent and fought thereafter.
އަދި اللَّه ގެ މަގުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހޭދަނުކުރާންވީ ކީއްވެގެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އުޑުތަކާއި، ބިމުގެ މިލްކުވެރިކަންވަނީ اللَّه އަށެވެ. (مكة) فتح ވުމުގެކުރިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ހޭދަކޮށް، އަދި ހަނގުރާމަކޮށް އުޅުނުމީހުން (އެނޫން މީހުންނާ) ހަމަހަމަވެގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ. އޭގެފަހުން ހޭދަކޮށް، އަދި ހަނގުރާމަ ކުޅަމީހުންނަށްވުރެން ދަރަޖައިގެގޮތުން އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: مكة فتح ކުރެއްވުމުގެކުރިން ހޭދަކުރިމީހުން) މާ މާތްކަންބޮޑެވެ. ކޮންމެ ބަޔަކަށްމެ ހެޔޮދަރުމަ، اللَّه وعد ކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ. އަދި اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާ عمل ތައް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

"who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of ya'qub (jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and prophethood, not the wealth, etc.). and make him, my lord, one with whom you are well-pleased!".
ތިމަންއަޅާއާއި، يعقوب ގެފާނުގެ آل ވެރިންގެ ކިބައިން ވާރުތަވާނޭ وارث އެކެވެ. އަދި މިއަޅާގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ރުހިވޮޑިގެންވާ އަޅަކު ކަމުގައި، އޭނާ ލައްވައިފާނދޭވެ!
