ei se îngâmfează şi sunt prea-plini de ei.

indeed those who are disdainful of my worship will enter hell in utter humiliation.
cei care sunt prea îngâmfaţi să mi se închine, căci curând, înjosiţi, vor intra în gheena.”

the day when they are thrust with a (disdainful) thrust, into the fire of hell
În ziua aceea, vor fi îmbrânciţi în focul gheenei:

now this day ye are rewarded with the doom of ignominy because ye were disdainful in the land without a right, and because ye used to transgress.
astăzi veţi fi răsplătiţi cu osânda umilinţei, căci aţi fost îngâmfaţi pe pământ fără drept şi aţi fost desfrânaţi.”

today you shall be requited with a humiliating punishment because of what you used to attribute to allah untruly, and for your being disdainful towards his signs.’
astăzi veţi fi răsplătiţi cu osânda ruşinii, căci aţi spus despre dumnezeu, neadevărul, şi aţi întors spatele semnelor sale cu trufie.

but those who deny our signs and are disdainful of them, they shall be the inmates of the fire and they shall remain in it [forever].
cei care socot semnele noastre minciuni, cei care din trufie întorc spatele, aceştia vor fi soţii focului, unde vor veşnici.

those who believe and do good works will be fully recompensed by him. and he will give them yet more out of his bounty; and as for those who were disdainful and proud, he will punish them with a painful punishment.
celor care au crezut şi au făcut fapte bune, el le va da răsplata, dăruindu-le, pe deasupra, din harul său, iar pe cei care s-au lepădat de el şi pe cei care au fost trufaşi îi va osândi la o dureroasă osândă.

o believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion, god will assuredly bring a people he loves, and who love him, humble towards the believers, disdainful towards the unbelievers, men who struggle in the path of god, not fearing the reproach of any reproacher.
ei vor fi smeriţi în faţa credincioşilor, mândri în faţa tăgăduitorilor. ei se vor lupta pentru calea lui dumnezeu şi nu se vor teme de ponegrirea niciunui ponegritor.
