surely it sends up sparks like palaces,
waxayna naartu tuuri dhimbilo daran ood mooddo daar.

and erect huge palaces as though you will live for ever,

“and prefer strong palaces, that perhaps you may live for ever?”

and take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally?

"do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them?
miyaad ka dhisaysaan meel sare oo dhan calaamad (daar) idinkoo ciyaari.

"and do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever.
ood yeelanaysaan masaanic (dhismo) inaad waartaan darteed.

such are the people who will be rewarded with high palaces for their fortitude,, wherein they will be welcomed with due respect, honour and salutations
kuwaas waxaa lagu abaal marin fooqa (janno) samirkooddi dartiis waxayna kula kulmi dhexdeeda salaan iyo soo dhawayn.

the kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces.
waa il ay ka cabbaan addoomada eebe, ayna ujiidaan say doonaan,

blessed is he who will grant you better than that if he wishes—gardens with streams running in them, and he will make for you palaces.
waxaa khayr badan eebaha hadduu doono kuu yeeli wax ka khayrroon taas, jannooyinna (kuu yeeli) oy socolo dhexdeeda wabiyaal kuuna yeeli daaro (janno).

blessed is he who, if he please, can give you better things than that; gardens watered by flowing streams, and palaces too.
waxaa khayr badan eebaha hadduu doono kuu yeeli wax ka khayrroon taas, jannooyinna (kuu yeeli) oy socolo dhexdeeda wabiyaal kuuna yeeli daaro (janno).

blest is he who, if he willed, shall appoint for them something better than that: gardens whereunder the rivers flow, and appoint for them palaces.

"and remember how he made you inheritors after the 'ad people and gave you habitations in the land: ye build for yourselves palaces and castles in (open) plains, and carve out homes in the mountains; so bring to remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from allah, and refrain from evil and mischief on the earth."
xusuusta markuu idinka yeelay (eebe) kuwo baddalay caad kadib idin dajiyeyna dhulka idinkoo ka yeelay dooxyaheeda daaro, ood kana qoranaysaan buuraheeda guryo xusuusta niemooyinka hana fasaadinina dhulka.
