and plenty of war booty, to take; and allah is most honourable, wise.

so if you meet them in war, make of them a fearsome example for those who follow them that they may he admonished.
haddaad ku libaanto (adkaato) dagaalka ku eri (xanuuji) kuwa ka dambeeya inay xusuustaan.

o you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them.
kuwa xaqa rumeeyow hadaad la kulantaan kuwa gaaloobay idinkoo isusoo dhawaan ha u jeedinina dabada (ha cararina).

allah does not forbid you to be kind and to act justly to those who have neither made war on your religion nor expelled you from your homes. allah loves the just.
eebe kama reebayo kuwa xaqa rumeeyey inay u samo iyo caddaalad falaan kuwa aan diinta kula dagaallamin guryahoodana ka bixinin, maxaa yeelay eebe waa jecel yahay kuwa caadiliinta ah (garsoor).

make war on them so that allah may punish them by your hands and humiliate them, and help you against them, and heal the hearts of a faithful folk,
la dagaallama, eebe ha ku cadaabo gaemihiinnee hana dulleeyee hana idinku gargaaree oo bugsiiyo laabta qoom mu'miniina.

but if they break their pledges after making them and attack your faith, make war on the leaders of unbelief that they may desist, for they have no regard for their pledged words.
haddayse buriyaan dhaartooda ballankoodii ka dib, duraanna diintiinna dila madaxda gaalada waa kuwaan dhaar lahayne inay ka joogan (xumaanta).
