இன்று வர முடியாது

like as we sent down on the dividers
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

just as we sent down to the separatists.
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

even as we sent down on the dividers -
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

such as we send down for those who are divisive,
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

so, as we recite it, follow its reading.
எனவே (ஜிப்ரயீலின் வாயிலாக), அதனை நாம் ஓதி விட்டோமாயின், அப்பால், அதன் ஓதுதலை பின் தொடர்ந்து (ஓதிக்) கொள்ளுங்கள்.

we led you astray as we were ourselves astray."
"(ஆம்) நாங்கள் உங்களை வழிகெடுத்தோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்களே வழிகெட்டுத்தான் இருந்தோம்."

as we fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat.
(அதற்கு) முன்னர் ஜின்னை (ஜின்களின் மூல பிதாவை) கடிய சூடுள்ள நெருப்பிலிருந்து நாம் படைத்தோம்.

shall we then treat those who have surrendered as we treat the guilty?
நாம் முஸ்லிம்களை, (பாவம் செய்யும்) குற்றவாளிகளைப் போல் ஆக்குவோமா?

even as we had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments;
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

so observe how was the outcome of their plotting, as we destroyed them and all their people.
ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய சூழ்ச்சியின் முடிவு என்ன ஆயிற்று என்பதை (நபியே!) நீர் கவனிப்பீராக! (முடிவு) அவர்களையும், அவர்களுடைய சமூகத்தார் எல்லோரையும் நாம் அழித்தோம்.

as we have sent down on the dividers, (quraish pagans or jews and christians).
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

as we did some of their fathers and progeny and brethren, and chose them, and showed them the right path.
இவர்களுடைய மூதாதையர்களிலிருந்தும், இவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளிலிருந்தும், இவர்களுடைய சதோதரர்களிலிருந்தும் (பலரை) நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அவர்களை நேர் வழியில் செலுத்தினோம்.

lo! we have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as we sent unto pharaoh a messenger.
நிச்சயமாக ஃபிர்அவ்னிடம் தூதரை நாம் அனுப்பியது போல், உங்களிடமும், உங்கள் மீது சாட்சி சொல்பவராகிய தூதரை நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்.

as we did their fathers, their descendants, and their brothers. we chose them and guided them to a straight path.
இவர்களுடைய மூதாதையர்களிலிருந்தும், இவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளிலிருந்தும், இவர்களுடைய சதோதரர்களிலிருந்தும் (பலரை) நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அவர்களை நேர் வழியில் செலுத்தினோம்.

even as we have sent among you an apostle from among you who recites to you our communications and purifies you and teaches you the book and the wisdom and teaches you that which you did not know.
இதே போன்று, நாம் உங்களிடையே உங்களிலிருந்து ஒரு தூதரை, நம் வசனங்களை உங்களுக்கு எடுத்து ஓதுவதற்காகவும்; உங்களைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும்; உங்களுக்கு வேதத்தையும், ஞானத்தையும் கற்றுக்கொடுப்பதற்காகவும்; இன்னும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாமல் இருந்தவற்றை, உங்களுக்குக் கற்றுக் கொடுப்பதற்காகவும் அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்.

to the jews we prohibited such things as we have mentioned to thee before: we did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.
இன்னும் யூதர்களுக்கு, உமக்கு நாம் முன்னரே விளக்கியுள்ளவற்றைத் தடுத்து விட்டோம்; (எனினும்) நாம் அவர்களுக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்கவில்லை ஆனால் அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்டனர்.

(we have given you the quran) as we had given (the bible) to those who divided themselves into groups
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

(of just such wrath) as we sent down on those who divided (scripture into arbitrary parts),-
(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,
