thus do we expound the revelations that the way of the unrighteous may be manifest.
குற்றவாளிகளின் வழி (இன்னதென்று சந்தேகமின்றித்) தெளிவாகுவதற்காக நாம் (நம்) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரிக்கின்றோம்.

and thus we expound revelations so that the way of the culprits may be shown up.
குற்றவாளிகளின் வழி (இன்னதென்று சந்தேகமின்றித்) தெளிவாகுவதற்காக நாம் (நம்) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரிக்கின்றோம்.

and thus do we expound the signs that they may turn back (to the right path).
அவர்கள் (பாவங்களிலிருந்து) விடுபட்டு (நம்மிடம்) திரும்புவதற்காக நாம் (நம்) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விளக்கிக் கூறுகின்றோம்.

therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with allah.
ஆதலால் உமக்குக் கட்டளையிடப் பட்டிருப்பதை வெளிப்படையாக அவர்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக இணைவைத்து வணங்குபவர்களை புறக்கணித்துவிடுவீராக!

but if they repent and establish prayer and give zakah they are your brothers in faith. thus do we expound our revelations to those who know.
ஆயினும் அவர்கள் தவ்பா செய்து (மனந்திருந்தி தம் தவறுகளிலிருந்து விலகி) தொழுகையைக் கடைப்படித்து, ஜகாத்தையும் (முறையாக) கொடுத்து வருவார்களானால், அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு மார்க்கச் சதோதரர்களே நாம் அறிவுள்ள சமூகத்தினருக்கு (நம்) வசனங்களை விளக்குகிறோம்.

allah intendeth to expound unto you and to guide you into the dispensations of those before you and relent toward you. and allah is knowing, wise.
அல்லாஹ் (தன்னுடைய சட்டங்களை) உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக விளக்கவும், உங்களுக்கு முன் இருந்த (நல்ல)வர்கள் சென்ற (நேரான) வழிகளில் உங்களைச் செலுத்தவும், உங்களுக்கு பாவமன்னிப்பு அருளவுமே விரும்புகிறான். இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கு அறிந்தோனாகவும், ஞானமுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

and thus we variously propound the revelation, and this is in order that they may say: thou hast studied, and that we may expound it to a people who know.
நீர் (பல வேதங்களிலிருந்து) காப்பி அடித்து இருக்கிறீர் என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவதற்காகவும் அறியக்கூடிய மக்களுக்கு அதனை நாம் தெளிவு படுத்துவதற்காகவும் (நமது) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறே விளக்குகிறோம்.

and we sent not an apostle but with the speech of his people that he might expound unto them. then allah sendeth astray whomsoever he will, and guideth whomsoever he will. and he is the mighty, the wise.
ஒவ்வொரு தூதரையும் அவருடைய சமூகத்தாருக்கு அவர் விளக்கிக் கூறுவதற்காக அவர்களுடைய மொழியிலேயே (போதிக்கும் படி) நாம் அனுப்பிவைத்தோம்; அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியோரை வழிதவறச் செய்கின்றான், தான் நாடியோருக்கு நேர்வழியையும் காண்பிக்கின்றான்; அவன் மிகைத்தவனாகவும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

as for the good land, vegetation comes forth in abundance by the command of its lord, whereas from the bad land, only poor vegetation comes forth. thus do we expound our signs in diverse ways for a people who are grateful.
(ஒரே விதமான மழையைக் கொண்டே) வளமான பூமி தன் இறைவன் கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு (செழுமையாகப்) பயிர் (பச்சை)களை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது ஆனால் கெட்ட களர் நிலம் சொற்பமான விளைச்சலையே வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது நன்றி செலுத்தும் மக்களுக்கு இவ்வாறே நாம் வசனங்களை விவரிக்கின்றோம்.

"o joseph!" (he said) "o man of truth! expound to us (the dream) of seven fat kine whom seven lean ones devour, and of seven green ears of corn and (seven) others withered: that i may return to the people, and that they may understand."
(சிறையில் யூஸுஃபை கண்ட) அவர், "யூஸுஃபே! உண்மையாளரே! ஏழு கொழுத்த பசக்களை, ஏழு மெலிந்த பசக்கள் தின்பதையும்; பசுமையான ஏழு கதிர்களையும் வேறு (ஏழு) காய்ந்து (சாவியாகிவிட்ட) கதிர்களையும் (கனவில் கண்டால் அக்கனவுக்குப் பலன் என்ன என்பதை) எனக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக மக்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக அவர்களிடம் திரும்பிப் போய்(ச் சொல்ல) வேண்டியிருக்கிறது" (என்று கூறினார்).
