நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு வேதத்தை கொடுத்தோம். அதை நாம் பூரண ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டு விளக்கியுள்ளோம்; அது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளும் மக்களுக்கு நேர் வழியாகவும், அருளாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

and it is he who hath appointed for you the stars that ye may be guided thereby in the darknesses of the land and the sea. surely we have expounded the signs unto a people who know.
அவனே உங்களுக்காக நட்சத்திரங்களை உண்டாக்கினான்; அவற்றைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் கரையிலும், கடலிலும் உள்ள இருள்களில் நீங்கள் வழியறிந்து செல்கிறீர்கள் - அறியக்கூடிய மக்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக (நம்) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரிக்கிறோம்.

we have expounded (the truth) in diverse ways in this qur'an that they might take it to heart but all this only aggravates their aversion.
இன்னும் அவர்கள் (சிந்தித்துப்) படிப்பினைகள் பெறுவதற்காக இந்த குர்ஆனில் திட்டமாக(ப் பல்வேறு) விளக்கங்களைக் கூறியுள்ளோம்; எனினும், (இவை யாவும்) அவர்களுக்கு (உண்மையிலிருந்து) வெறுப்பைத் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) அதிகப்படுத்தவில்லை!

(even when they began worshipping others than allah we did not destroy them) but bestowed sustenance on them and on their forefathers until there came to them the truth and a messenger who clearly expounded things to them.
எனினும், இவர்களிடம் உண்மையும் தெளிவான தூதரும் வரும் வரையில், இவர்களையும், இவர்களுடைய மூதாதையரையும் சுகமனுபவிக்க விட்டு வைத்தேன்.

verily those who hide that which we have sent down of evidence and the guidance, after we have expounded its unto mankind in the book, these! - curseth them allah, and shall curse them the cursers
நாம் அருளிய தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளையும், நேர்வழியையும் - அதனை நாம் வேதத்தில் மனிதர்களுக்காக விளக்கிய பின்னரும் - யார் மறைக்கின்றார்களோ, நிச்சயமாக அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் சபிக்கிறான்;. மேலும் அவர்களைச் சபிப்ப(தற்கு உரிமை உடைய)வர்களும் சபிக்கிறார்கள்.

alif lam ra. [this is] a book, with verses which are fundamental [in nature], and then expounded in detail by one who is all wise and all aware.
அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (இது) வேதமாகும்; இதன் வசனங்கள் (பல்வேறு அத்தாட்சிகளால்) உறுதியாக்கப்பட்டு பின்னர் தெளிவாக விவரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன- மேலும், (இவை யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிபவனும், ஞானம் மிக்கோனுமாகிய(இறை)வனிடம் இருந்து(வந்து)ள்ளன.
