(மூஸா) கூறினார்; "நான் தவறியவர்களில் (ஒருவனாக) இருந்த நிலையில் அதைச் செய்துவிட்டேன்.

lest any soul should say: alas, my grief that i was unmindful of allah, and i was indeed among the scoffers!
"அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நான் செய்ய வேண்டிய கடமைகளில் குறை செய்து விட்டதின் கைசேதமே! பரிகாசம் செய்பவர்களில் நிச்சயமாக நானும் இருந்தேனே"! என்று (ஒவ்வொருவரும்) கூறாமல் இருப்பதற்காகவும்;

he said, "your lord is the lord of the heavens and the earth. it was he who created them and i testify to this fact".
"அப்படியல்ல. உங்களுடைய இறைவன் வானங்களுக்கும் பூமிக்கும் இறைவனாவான். அவனே அவற்றைப் படைத்தவன்; இதற்குச் சாட்சியம் கூறுபவர்களில் நானும் ஒருவனாக இருக்கின்றேன்" என்று (இப்ராஹீம்) கூறினார்.

(it was) said: "by no means. go with my signs, both of you. i am verily with you and i hear.
(அதற்கு இறைவன்) அவ்வாறல்ல! நீங்கள் இருவரும் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் செல்லுங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களுடன் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்போராக இருக்கின்றோம்" எனக் கூறினான்.

“i was commanded to worship the lord of this town, who has sanctified it, and to whom everything belongs; and i was commanded to be of those who submit.

lest a soul should say: alas! for that i have been remiss in respect of allah, and i was but of the scoffers!
"அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நான் செய்ய வேண்டிய கடமைகளில் குறை செய்து விட்டதின் கைசேதமே! பரிகாசம் செய்பவர்களில் நிச்சயமாக நானும் இருந்தேனே"! என்று (ஒவ்வொருவரும்) கூறாமல் இருப்பதற்காகவும்;

ஆம் ! நான் எல்லாம் பாதுகாப்பு முடிந்துவிட்டது! நான் என் நிலைமை சுற்றி நினைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன்.இதைவிட நான் ஒரு அசாதாரண நபர் என்று நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறீர்களா!

dear i was almost late to reach airport but i thank god i am in the airport now and i have board my flight, my flight is about to depart now i will call you when i arrival in india i am so excited, see you tomorrow.

indeed among you is one who will certainly loiter behind; then if some disaster were to befall you, he would say, “it was allah’s grace upon me that i was not present with them!”
(போரிடாமல்) பின்தங்கி விடுகிறவர்களும் உங்களில் சிலர் நிச்சயமாக உள்ளனர்;. உங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது ஒரு துன்பம் ஏற்பட்டால், "அவர்களுடன் கலந்து கொள்ளாமல் இருந்ததினால் அல்லாஹ் என் மீது அருள் புரிந்துள்ளான்" என்று (அவர்கள்) கூறுகிறார்கள்.

and i have followed the religion of my fathers, abraham, isaac and jacob. and it was not for us to associate anything with allah. that is from the favor of allah upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful.
"நான் என் மூதாதையர்களான இப்றாஹீம், இஸ்ஹாக், யஃகூப் ஆகியோரின் மார்க்கத்தைப் பின்பற்றுகிறேன்; அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதையும் நாங்கள் இணைவைப்பது எங்களுக்கு தகுமானதல்ல, இது எங்கள் மீதும் (இதர) மக்கள் மீதும் அல்லாஹ் புரிந்த அருளாகும் - எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

i only told them what you commanded me: that you shall worship god, my lord and your lord. and i was a witness over them while i was among them; but when you took me to yourself, you became the watcher over them—you are witness over everything.
"நீ எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி (மனிதர்களை நோக்கி), "என்னுடைய இறைவனும், உங்களுடைய இறைவனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வையே வணங்குங்கள்" என்பதைத் தவிர வேறு எதையும் அவர்களுக்கு நான் கூறவில்லை. மேலும், நான் அவர்களுடன் (உலகில்) இருந்த காலமெல்லாம் அவர்களைக் கண்காணிப்பவனாக இருந்தேன்;. அப்பால் நீ என்னைக் கைப்பற்றிய பின்னர் நீயே அவர்கள் மீது கண்காணிப்பவனாக இருந்தாய். நீயே எல்லாப் பொருட்கள் மீதும் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறாய்" (என்றும்);

and as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the town and underneath it was a treasure belonging to them and their father had been righteous. so thy lord intended that the twain should attain their maturity and bring forth for themselves their treasure as a mercy from thy lord. and i did it not of mine own command; that is the interpretation of that wherewith thou wast not able to have patience.
"இனி (நான் நிமிர்த்து வைத்த) அந்த சுவர் அந்தப் பட்டினத்திலுள்ள அநாதைச் சிறுவர் இருவருக்குரியது அதன் அடியில் அவ்விருவருக்கும் சொந்தாமான புதையல் உள்ளது அவ்விருவருடைய தந்தை (ஸாலிஹான) நல்ல மனிதராக இருந்தார் எனவே, அவ்விருவரும் தக்க பிராயமடைந்த தம்மிருவரின் புதையலையும் வெளிப்படுத்தி (எடுத்துக்) கொள்ள வேண்டும் என உம்முடைய இறைவன் நாடினான். (இவையெல்லாம்) உம் இறைவனுடைய ரஹ்மத்தில் நின்றும் உள்ளவை என் விருப்பு, வெறுப்பின்படி எந்தக் காரியத்தையும் செய்யவில்லை எதைப் பற்றி நீர் பொறுமையாக இருக்க முடியவில்லையோ அதன் விளக்கம் இது தான்" என்று கூறினார்.

every afternoon, as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the giant’s garden. it was a large lovely garden, with soft green grass. here and there over the grass stood beautiful flowers like stars, and there were twelve peach-trees that in the spring-time broke out into delicate blossoms of pink and pearl, and in the autumn bore rich fruit. the birds sat on the trees and sang so sweetly that the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them. “how happy we are here!” they cried to each other. one day the giant came back. he had been to visit his friend the cornish ogre, and had stayed with him for seven years. after the seven years were over he had said all that he had to say, for his conversation was limited, and he determined to return to his own castle. when he arrived he saw the children playing in the garden. “what are you doing here?” he cried in a very gruff voice, and the children ran away. “my own garden is my own garden,” said the giant, “any one can understand that, and i will allow nobody to play in it but myself,” so he built a high wall all round it, and put up a notice board. trespassers will be prosecuted he was a very selfish giant. the poor children had now nowhere to play. they tried to play on the road, but the road was very dusty and full of hard stones, and they did not like it. they used to wander round the high walls when their lessons were over, and talk about the beautiful garden inside. “how happy we were there,” they said to each other. then the spring came, and all over the country there were little blossoms and little birds. only in the garden of the selfish giant it was still winter. the birds did not care to sing in it as there were no children, and the trees forgot to blossom. once a beautiful flower put its head out from the grass, but when it saw the notice board it was so sorry for the children that it slipped back into the ground again, and went off to sleep. the only people who were pleased were the snow and the frost. “spring has forgotten this garden,” they cried, “so we will live here all the year round.” the snow covered up the grass with her great white cloak, and the forest painted all the trees silver. then they invited the north wind to stay with them, and he came. he was wrapped in furs, and he roared all day about the garden, and blew the chimney-pots down. “this is a delightful spot,” he said, “we must ask the hail on a visit.” so the hail came. every day for three hours he rattled on the roof of the castle till he broke most of the slates, and then he ran round and round the garden as fast as he could go. he was dresse
