யாருக்கு நாம் வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோமோ அவர்கள் அதை எவ்வாறு ஓதி(ஒழுகி)ட வேண்டுமோ, அவ்வாறு ஓதுகிறார்கள்;. அவர்கள் தாம் அதன் மேல் நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்கள்;. யார் அதை நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் பெரும் நஷ்டவாளிகளே!

those to whom we have given the book follow it as it ought to be followed: they have faith in it. as for those who deny it—it is they who are the losers.
யாருக்கு நாம் வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோமோ அவர்கள் அதை எவ்வாறு ஓதி(ஒழுகி)ட வேண்டுமோ, அவ்வாறு ஓதுகிறார்கள்;. அவர்கள் தாம் அதன் மேல் நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்கள்;. யார் அதை நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் பெரும் நஷ்டவாளிகளே!

and whoever desires the hereafter and strives for it as he ought to strive and he is a believer; (as for) these, their striving shall surely be accepted.
இன்னும் எவர் மறுமையை நாடி அதற்காகத் தக்க பிரயாசையுடன், முஃமினாகவும் இருந்து முயல்கின்றாரோ, அ(த்தகைய)வர்களின் முயற்சி (அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் நற்கூலிக்குரியதாக) ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படும்.

they have not esteemed god as he ought to be esteemed. the entire earth will be in his grip on the day of resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in his righ. immaculate is he, and transcendent he is beyond the associations they make.
அல்லாஹ்வின் கண்ணியத்திற்குத் தக்கவாறு அவர்கள் அவனை கண்ணியப்படுத்த வில்லை இன்னும் இந்தப்பூமி முழுதும் கியாம நாளில் அவனுடைய ஒரு பிடிதான்; மேலும், வானங்களனைத்தும் அவனுடைய வலக்கையால் சுருட்டப்பட்டதாக இருக்கும்; அவர்கள் இணைவைப்பதை விட்டும் அவன் மகா தூயவன்.

they said, "by god, you [ought to] know we have not come here to cause any trouble in the land. we are not thieves!"

nor on those who, when they came unto thee that thou mightest mount them and thou saidst: i find not any animal to mount you on, turned back while their eyes overflowed with tears for grief that they could not find ought to expend.
போருக்குச் செல்லத் தங்களுக்கு வாகனம் தேவைப்பட்டு உம்மிடம் வந்தவர்களிடம் "உங்களை நான் ஏற்றி விடக்கூடிய வாகனங்கள் என்னிடம் இல்லையே" என்று நீர் கூறிய போது, (போருக்காகத்) தாங்களே செலவு செய்து கொள்ள வசதியில்லையே என்று எண்ணித் துக்கத்தால் தங்களின் கண்களில் கண்ணீர் வடித்தவர்களாகத் திரும்பிச் சென்று விட்டார்களே அவர்கள் மீதும் (போருக்குச் செல்லாதது பற்றி) எவ்வித குற்றமும் இல்லை.
