(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: அல்லாஹ் அவன் ஒருவனே.

he is not coming office today
वह आज कार्यालय नहीं आ रहा है

say, ‘he is allah, the one.
(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: அல்லாஹ் அவன் ஒருவனே.

he is all-hearing, all-knowing.
நிச்சயமாக அவன் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்பவன், மிக அறிபவன்.

everyone in the heavens and the earth asks him. every day he is engaged in some work.
வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலுமுள்ளோர் அனைவரும், (தங்களுக்கு வேண்டியவற்றை) அவனிடமே கேட்கின்றனர், ஒவ்வொரு நாளிலும் அவன் காரியத்திலேயே இருக்கின்றான்.

whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth implore him; every day he is upon some labour.
வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலுமுள்ளோர் அனைவரும், (தங்களுக்கு வேண்டியவற்றை) அவனிடமே கேட்கின்றனர், ஒவ்வொரு நாளிலும் அவன் காரியத்திலேயே இருக்கின்றான்.

he is only an insane person. wait for some time. perhaps he will come to his senses."
"இவர் ஒரு பைத்தியக்கார மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை எனவே இவருடன் நீங்கள் சிறிது காலம் பொறுத்திருந்து பாருங்கள்" (எனவும் கூறினர்).

or do they say: 'he is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him'
அல்லது: அவர்கள் (உம்மைப் பற்றி, "அவர்) புலவர், அவருக்குக் காலத்தின் துன்பத்தைக் கொண்டு நாங்கள் வழி பார்த்து இருக்கிறோம்" என்று கூறுகிறார்களா?

if they say, "he is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him,"
அல்லது: அவர்கள் (உம்மைப் பற்றி, "அவர்) புலவர், அவருக்குக் காலத்தின் துன்பத்தைக் கொண்டு நாங்கள் வழி பார்த்து இருக்கிறோம்" என்று கூறுகிறார்களா?

and if we bestow man the enjoyment of some mercy from us and later withdraw it from him; surely he is most despairing, ungrateful.
நாம் நம்மிடமிருந்து நற்கிருபையை மனிதன் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து, பின்பு அதனை அவனை விட்டும் நாம் நீக்கி விட்டால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராசைப்பட்டு பெரும் நன்றி கெட்டவனாகி விடுகின்றான்.

or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? but the recompense of thy lord is best: he is the best of those who give sustenance.
அல்லது நீர் அவர்களிடம் கூலி ஏதும் கேட்கிறீரா? (இல்லை! ஏனெனில்) உம்முடைய இறைவன் கொடுக்கும் கூலியே மிகவும் மேலானது இன்னும் அளிப்பவர்களில் அவனே மிக்க மேலானவன்.

on some he bestows both sons and daughters, and some he leaves issueless. he is all-knowing and all-powerful.
அல்லது அவர்களுக்கு அவன் ஆண்மக்களையும், பெண் மக்களையும் சேர்த்துக் கொடுக்கின்றான்; அன்றியும் தான் விரும்பியோரை மலடாகவும் செய்கிறான் - நிச்சயமாக, அவன் மிக அறிந்தவன்; பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

(and some said): "he is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time."
"இவர் ஒரு பைத்தியக்கார மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை எனவே இவருடன் நீங்கள் சிறிது காலம் பொறுத்திருந்து பாருங்கள்" (எனவும் கூறினர்).
