and our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
เราจึงมีความหวังแน่นอนในท่านทั้งหลาย เพราะเรารู้ว่าท่านทั้งหลายได้มีส่วนในความทุกข์ยากฉันใด ท่านทั้งหลายจะได้มีส่วนในการปลอบประโลมใจฉันนั้

for they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the alter are partakers with the alter?
ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าคนที่ปรนนิบัติเรื่องสิ่งบริสุทธิ์ ก็กินอาหารของพระวิหาร และคนปรนนิบัติที่แท่นบูชาก็รับส่วนแบ่งจากแท่นบูชานั้

and i heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงอีกเสียงหนึ่งประกาศมาจากสวรรค์ว่า "ชนชาติของเรา จงออกมาจากนครนั้นเถิด เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะไม่มีส่วนในการบาปของนครนั้น และเพื่อท่านจะไม่ต้องรับภัยพิบัติที่จะเกิดแก่นครนั้

but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
แต่ว่าท่านทั้งหลายจงชื่นชมยินดีในการที่ท่านได้มีส่วนร่วมในความทุกข์ยากของพระคริสต์ เพื่อว่าเมื่อสง่าราศีของพระองค์ปรากฏขึ้น ท่านทั้งหลายก็จะได้ชื่นชมยินดีเป็นอันมากด้ว

if others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of christ.
ถ้าคนอื่นมีสิทธิ์ที่จะได้รับประโยชน์จากท่าน เราไม่มีสิทธิ์ที่จะได้รับยิ่งกว่าเขาอีกหรือ ถึงกระนั้นเราก็มิได้ใช้สิทธิ์นี้เลย แต่ยอมทนทุกข์ยากสารพัด เพื่อเราจะไม่เป็นอุปสรรคขัดขวางข่าวประเสริฐของพระคริสต

even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because i have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
การที่ข้าพเจ้าคิดอย่างนั้นเนื่องด้วยท่านทั้งหลายก็สมควรแล้ว เพราะว่าข้าพเจ้ามีท่านในใจของข้าพเจ้า ท่านทั้งหลายได้รับส่วนในพระคุณด้วยกันกับข้าพเจ้า ในการที่ข้าพเจ้าถูกจองจำ และในการกล่าวแก้ และหนุนให้ข่าวประเสริฐนั้นตั้งมั่นคงอยู

and food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom
และอาหารที่ติดลำคอและการลงโทษอันเจ็บปวด
