ሌሎችም ሲፈትኑት ከሰማይ ምልክት ከእርሱ ይፈልጉ ነበር።
and others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

የካህናት አለቆችና ጻፎችም እንዴት እንዲያጠፉት ይፈልጉ ነበር፤ ሕዝቡን ይፈሩ ነበርና።
and the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

ስለዚህ ሊይዙት ይፈልጉ ነበር፤ ነገር ግን ጊዜው ገና ስላልደረሰ ማንም እጁን አልጫነበትም።
then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

ከዚህም በኋላ ኢየሱስ አይሁድ ሊገድሉት ይፈልጉ ስለ ነበር በይሁዳ ሊመላለስ አይወድም ነበርና በገሊላ ይመላለስ ነበር።
after these things jesus walked in galilee: for he would not walk in jewry, because the jews sought to kill him.

የካህናት አለቆችም ሸንጎውም ሁሉ እንዲገድሉት በኢየሱስ ላይ ምስክር ይፈልጉ ነበር፥ አላገኙምም፤
and the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against jesus to put him to death; and found none.

የካህናት አለቆችና ሽማግሎች ሸንጐውም ሁሉ እንዲገድሉት በኢየሱስ ላይ የሐሰት ምስክር ይፈልጉ ነበር፥ አላገኙም፤
now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against jesus, to put him to death;

ከሁለት ቀን በኋላ ፋሲካና የቂጣ በዓል ነበረ። የካህናት አለቆችም ጻፎችም እንዴት አድርገው በተንኰል እንደሚይዙትና እንደሚገድሉት ይፈልጉ ነበር።
after two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

ምናልባትም እየመረመሩ ያገኙት እንደ ሆነ፥ እግዚአብሔርን ይፈልጉ ዘንድ በምድር ሁሉ ላይ እንዲኖሩ የሰውን ወገኖች ሁሉ ከአንድ ፈጠረ፥ የተወሰኑትንም ዘመኖችና ለሚኖሩበት ስፍራ ዳርቻ መደበላቸው። ቢሆንም ከእያንዳንዳችን የራቀ አይደለም።
and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
