መጀመሪያ ተቀምጦ ወደ ነበረው የፋይሉ ቅጂ መልስ

ሲመለስም በሰረገላ ተቀምጦ የነቢዩን የኢሳይያስን መጽሐፍ ያነብ ነበር።
was returning, and sitting in his chariot read esaias the prophet.

ከእነርሱም ጋር በማዕድ ተቀምጦ ሳለ እንጀራውን አንሥቶ ባረከው፥ ቈርሶም ሰጣቸው፤
and it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

ዝቅም ብሎ ቢመለከት የተልባ እግሩን ልብስ ተቀምጦ አየ፥ ነገር ግን አልገባም።
and he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

በመቅደስም ትይዩ በደብረ ዘይት ተቀምጦ ሳለ፥ ጴጥሮስና ያዕቆብ ዮሐንስም እንድርያስም።
and as he sat upon the mount of olives over against the temple, peter and james and john and andrew asked him privately,

ሥራቸውም አንድ ስለ ነበረ በእነርሱ ዘንድ ተቀምጦ በአንድ ላይ ሠሩ፤ ሥራቸው ድንኳን መስፋት ነበረና።
and because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

በብርሃኑም በኩል ተቀምጦ ሳለ አንዲት ገረድ አየችውና ትኵር ብላ። ይህ ደግሞ ከእርሱ ጋር ነበረ አለች።
but a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, this man was also with him.

በልስጥራንም እግሩ የሰለለ፥ ከእናቱም ማኅፀን ጀምሮ አንካሳ የሆነ፥ ከቶም ሄዶ የማያውቅ አንድ ሰው ተቀምጦ ነበር።
and there sat a certain man at lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

በቤቱም በማዕድ ተቀምጦ ሳለ፥ እነሆ፥ ብዙ ቀራጮችና ኃጢአተኞች መጥተው ከኢየሱስና ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ጋር አብረው ተቀመጡ።
and it came to pass, as jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

ወይም ሌላውን ንጉሥ በጦርነት ሊጋጠም የሚሄድ፥ ከሁለት እልፍ ጋር የሚመጣበትን በአንድ እልፍ ሊገናኝ የሚችል እንደ ሆነ አስቀድሞ ተቀምጦ የማያስብ ንጉሥ ማን ነው?
or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

አንቺ የጽዮን ልጅ አትፍሪ፤ እነሆ፥ ንጉሥሽ በአህያ ውርንጫ ላይ ተቀምጦ ይመጣል ተብሎ እንደ ተጻፈ፥ ኢየሱስ የአህያ ውርንጫ አግኝቶ በእርሱ ተቀመጠ።
and jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

ለጽዮን ልጅ። እነሆ፥ ንጉሥሽ የዋህ ሆኖ በአህያ ላይና በአህያይቱ ግልገል በውርንጫይቱ ላይ ተቀምጦ ወደ አንቺ ይመጣል በሉአት ተብሎ በነቢይ የተነገረው ይፈጸም ዘንድ ይህ ሆነ።
all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

ሰውንም ጉዳት ባገኘው ጊዜ በጎኑ ላይ ተጋድሞ ወይም ተቀምጦ ወይም ቆሞ ይለምነናል ፡ ፡ ጉዳቱንም ከእሱ ላይ በገለጥንለት ጊዜ ወደ አገኘው ጉዳት እንዳልጠራን ሆኖ ያልፋል ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ለድንበር አላፊዎች ይሠሩት የነበሩት ሥራ ተሸለመላቸው ፡ ፡
and ( such is man that ) when an affliction befalls him , he cries out to us , reclining and sitting and standing . but no sooner than we have removed his affliction , he passes on as though he had never cried out to us to remove his affliction .
