but if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which i have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

si autem aversione aversi fueritis vos et filii vestri non sequentes me nec custodientes mandata mea et caerimonias quas proposui vobis sed abieritis et colueritis deos alienos et adoraveritis eo
but if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which i have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

when ye have transgressed the covenant of the lord your god, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the lord be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

nunc ergo si estis parati quacumque hora audieritis sonitum tubae fistulae et citharae sambucae psalterii et symphoniae omnisque generis musicorum prosternite vos et adorate statuam quam feci quod si non adoraveritis eadem hora mittemini in fornacem ignis ardentem et quis est deus qui eripiat vos de manu me
now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which i have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands?
