hypocritae bene prophetavit de vobis esaias dicen
ye hypocrites, well did esaias prophesy of you, saying,

confidimus autem de vobis dilectissimi meliora et viciniora saluti tametsi ita loquimu
but, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

haec dicit dominus deus pro eo quod dicunt de vobis devoratrix hominum es et suffocans gentem tua
thus saith the lord god; because they say unto you, thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;

et in avaritia fictis verbis de vobis negotiabuntur quibus iudicium iam olim non cessat et perditio eorum non dormita
and through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

multa habeo de vobis loqui et iudicare sed qui misit me verax est et ego quae audivi ab eo haec loquor in mund
i have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and i speak to the world those things which i have heard of him.

conterriti sunt in sion peccatores possedit tremor hypocritas quis poterit habitare de vobis cum igne devorante quis habitabit ex vobis cum ardoribus sempiterni
the sinners in zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

scio enim promptum animum vestrum pro quo de vobis glorior apud macedonas quoniam achaia parata est ab anno praeterito et vestra aemulatio provocavit plurimo
for i know the forwardness of your mind, for which i boast of you to them of macedonia, that achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

et qui de vobis remanserint dabo pavorem in cordibus eorum in regionibus hostium terrebit eos sonitus folii volantis et ita fugient quasi gladium cadent nullo sequent
and upon them that are left alive of you i will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

et si quid apud illum de vobis gloriatus sum non sum confusus sed sicut omnia vobis in veritate locuti sumus ita et gloriatio nostra quae fuit ad titum veritas facta es
for if i have boasted any thing to him of you, i am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which i made before titus, is found a truth.

si ergo somnium non indicaveritis mihi una est de vobis sententia quod interpretationem quoque fallacem et deceptione plenam conposueritis ut loquamini mihi donec tempus pertranseat somnium itaque dicite mihi ut sciam quod interpretationem quoque eius veram loquamin
but if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and i shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.
