em 3 de junho, o conselho aprovou uma orientação geral comvista a um regulamento e a uma directiva sobre a sociedade cooperativa europeia(2), preconizando que o texto do regulamento retome, no essencial, a redacção do relativo à sociedade europeia(3), atendendo muito embora às características específicas das cooperativas, a fim de colocar à disposição destas os instrumentos jurídicos adequados para facilitar as suas actividades transfronteiriças e transnacionais, tal comofará a sociedade europeia para as sociedades anónimas.
on 3 june, the council approved general guidelines for aregulation and a directive on the european cooperative society(2). it recom- mends that the text of the regulation should essentially be based on that of theregulation on the european company(3), while taking account of the specific characteristics of cooperatives, in order to make available to cooperativesappropriate legal instruments to facilitate their crossborder and transnationalactivities, as the statute for a european company will do for public limited companies.
