rehema ya mwenyezi mungu na baraka zake ziko juu yenu, enyi watu wa nyumba hii!
allah's mercy and his blessings be upon you, o people of the house.

yeye humchagua kumpa rehema zake amtakaye; na mwenyezi mungu ndiye mwenye fadhila kubwa.
for his mercy he specially chooseth whom he pleaseth; for allah is the lord of bounties unbounded.

na lau kuwa si fadhila za mwenyezi mungu juu yenu na rehema zake, mngeli kuwa miongoni mwa wenye kukhasirika.
and if not for the favor of allah upon you and his mercy, you would have been among the losers.

au nani yule anaye kuongoeni katika giza la bara na bahari, na akazipeleka pepo kuleta bishara kabla ya rehema zake?
is he who guides you in the darkness of land and sea and who sends the winds as harbingers of his mercy...?

"(are the idols worthier or) the one who guides you in the darkness of the land and sea and sends the winds bearing the glad news of his mercy?

hao wanao waomba, wao wenyewe wanatafuta njia ya kwendea kwa mola wao mlezi - hata miongoni mwao walio karibu mno - na wanataraji rehema zake na wanaikhofu adhabu yake.
they [themselves] are the ones who supplicate, seeking a recourse to their lord, whoever is nearer [to him], expecting his mercy and fearing his punishment.’

na katika ishara zake ni kuzituma pepo ziletazo bishara njema, na ili kukuonjesheni baadhi ya rehema zake, na ili majahazi yende kwa amri yake; na mtafute kutokana na fadhila yake, na ili mumshukuru.
among his signs are the breezes he sends as harbingers of happy news, so that he may allow you to taste of his mercy, and that ships may sail by his command, and you may seek of his bounty, and may haply be grateful.

hao wanao waomba, wao wenyewe wanatafuta njia ya kwendea kwa mola wao mlezi - hata miongoni mwao walio karibu mno - na wanataraji rehema zake na wanaikhofu adhabu yake. hakika adhabu ya mola wako mlezi yafaa kutahadhari nayo.
the devoted bondmen whom these disbelievers worship, themselves seek the means of proximity from their lord, that who among them is the closest (to his lord), and hope for his mercy and fear his punishment; indeed the punishment of your lord is to be feared.
