shikamana na kusamehe, na amrisha mema, na jitenge na majaahili.
[o prophet!] show forgiveness, enjoin equity, and avoid the ignorant.

na uwe kutokana na nyinyi umma unao lingania kheri na unao amrisha mema na unakataza maovu.
and from among you there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong.

huyo anaweza kuwa sawa na yule anaye amrisha uadilifu, naye yuko juu ya njia iliyo nyooka?
can he be considered equal to the one who maintains justice and follows the right path?

je! huyo anaweza kuwa sawa na yule anaye amrisha uadilifu, naye yuko juu ya njia iliyo nyooka?
can such a person be the equal of one who enjoins justice and himself follows the right way?

ewe mwanangu! shika sala, na amrisha mema, na kataza maovu, na subiri kwa yanayo kupata.
o my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you.

shika sala, na amrisha mema, na kataza maovu, na subiri kwa yanayo kupata. hayo ni katika mambo ya kuazimiwa..
"o my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.

hakuna kheri katika mengi ya wanayo shauriana kwa siri, isipo kuwa kwa yule anaye amrisha kutoa sadaka, au kutenda mema, au kupatanisha baina ya watu.
most of their secret conferrings are devoid of good, unless one secretly enjoins in charity, good deeds, and setting the affairs of men right.

wanao vunja ahadi ya mwenyezi mungu baada ya kwisha ifunga, na wakayakata aliyo amrisha mwenyezi mungu kuungwa, na wakafanya uharibifu katika nchi; hao ndio wenye khasara.
those who break allah's covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what allah has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: these cause loss (only) to themselves.

(kwa) wanao tubia, wanao abudu, wanao himidi, wanao kimbilia kheri, wanao rukuu, wanao sujudu, wanao amrisha mema na wanao kataza maovu, na wanao linda mipaka ya mwenyezi mungu.
(the believers whose lives allah has purchased are) those who repent to allah (from polytheism and hypocrisy, etc.), who worship him, who praise him, who fast (or go out in allah's cause), who bow down (in prayer), who prostrate themselves (in prayer), who enjoin (people) for al-ma'ruf (i.e. islamic monotheism and all what islam has ordained) and forbid (people) from al-munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds and all that islam has forbidden), and who observe the limits set by allah (do all that allah has ordained and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which allah has forbidden).
