even thus shall it be in the day when the son of man is revealed.

kwanjengoko naziyo nonke ngabanye, ukuba besixelisa uyise kubantwana bakhe, siniyala, sinikhuza, siniqononondisa,
as ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

kwanale nto bububi obusisifo, ukuba eya kumka kanye kwanjengoko weza ngako: unalungelo lini na ke owaphukela umoya?
and this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

kwathi, esendaweni ethile ethandaza, akupheza, wathi othile wakubafundi bakhe kuye, nkosi, sifundise ukuthandaza, kwanjengoko uyohane wabafundisayo abafundi bakhe.
and it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, lord, teach us to pray, as john also taught his disciples.

zikhoyo kuni, njengoko zikhoyo nakulo lonke ihlabathi, zixakatha neziqhamo, kwanjengoko zixakathayo ngaphakathi kwenu, kususela kwimini enaluvayo, nalwazi, ubabalo lukathixo ngenya, niso.
which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of god in truth:

ke oonyana babo akababulalanga, kwanjengoko kubhaliweyo emyalelweni, encwadini kamoses, apho uyehova ebewise khona umthetho wokuthi: mabangabulawa ooyise ngenxa yoonyana, noonyana mabangabulawa ngenxa yooyise; elowo makabulawe ngesakhe isono.
but he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of moses, where the lord commanded, saying, the fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.
