and abraham said unto him, beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

but thou shalt go unto my father's house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

wothi kufaro, utsho uyehova ukuthi, unyana wam wamazibulo ngusirayeli;
and thou shalt say unto pharaoh, thus saith the lord, israel is my son, even my firstborn:

usuku lokuzalwa olumnandi udadewethu u 'last unyana wam ozelwe ngolwimi lwesixhosa
happy birthday to my sister'last born son in xhosa language

ukuba woya ezweni lakowethu, nakwelokuzalwa kwam, umzekele unyana wam uisake umfazi.
but thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son isaac.

uthe ke kamva wathuma kubo unyana wakhe, esithi, baya kumhlonela yena unyana wam.
but last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, they will reverence my son.

wathi usirayeli, kwanele. uyosefu unyana wam usahleli. ndiya kuya ndimbone, ndingekafi.
and israel said, it is enough; joseph my son is yet alive: i will go and see him before i die.

kothi, xa ithe yalala kooyise inkosi yam ukumkani, sibe ngaboni, thina nosolomon unyana wam.

uthe ngoko, esenaye unyana emnye, intanda yakhe, wamthuma naye kubo ukugqibela, esithi, baya kumhlonela yena unyana wam.
having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, they will reverence my son.

wathi kueliya, yintoni na enam nawe, mfo wakwathixo? uze kum, ukuba undikhumbuze ubugwenxa bam, umbulale unyana wam?
and she said unto elijah, what have i to do with thee, o thou man of god? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

ndikufungise uyehova uthixo wamazulu, uthixo wehlabathi, ukuba akuyi kumzekela unyana wam umfazi ezintombini zamakanan, endihleli phakathi kwawo;
and i will make thee swear by the lord, the god of heaven, and the god of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the canaanites, among whom i dwell:

ndavuka kusasa, ukuba ndimanyise unyana wam, o! ufile; ndaza ndamgqala kusasa, yini le, asingunyana wam endamzalayo.
and when i rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when i had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which i did bear.

nakoonyana bam bonke (ngokuba undinike oonyana abaninzi uyehova), unyule usolomon unyana wam, ukuba ahlale etroneni yobukumkani bukayehova kumasirayeli.
and of all my sons, (for the lord hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the lord over israel.

wathi ukumkani kuyo, uhlelwe yintoni na? wathi, lo mfazi uthe kum, ndinike unyana wakho, sidle yena namhla, sidle unyana wam ngomso.
and the king said unto her, what aileth thee? and she answered, this woman said unto me, give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.

wathi yena, unyana wam akasayi kuhla nani; ngokuba ufile umkhuluwa wakhe, yena usele yedwa. ukuba uthe wahlelwa yingozi endleleni eniyihambayo, izimvi zam nozithobela kwelabafileyo ndinesingqala.
and he said, my son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

yathi kum, uyehova, endihamba phambi kwakhe, wosithuma isithunywa sakhe siye nawe, ayenze ibe nempumelelo indlela yakho, umzekele unyana wam umfazi emizalwaneni yakowethu, nasendlwini kabawo;
and he said unto me, the lord, before whom i walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house:

yathi, ukumkani makhe amkhumbule uyehova uthixo wakhe, ukuze umphindezeli wegazi angakwandisi ukonakalisa, bangamtshabalalisi unyana wam. wathi ke yena, ehleli nje uyehova, akuyi kuwa nalunye unwele lonyana wakho emhlabeni.
then said she, i pray thee, let the king remember the lord thy god, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. and he said, as the lord liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.
