suk’ ume ukhanye, kuba kufikile ukukhanya kwakho, nobuqaqawuli bukayehova buthe chapha kuwe.
arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the lord is risen upon thee.

ukuba ukhanye kwabo bahleliyo emnyameni, nasethunzi nilokufa, ukuba uzingenise iinyawo zethu endleleni yoxolo.
to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

kuba kwanjengokuba umbane ubaneka, uphuma kwelinye icala eliphantsi kwezulu, ukhanye usingise kwelinye eliphantsi kwezulu, uya kuba njalo nonyana womntu ngomhla wakhe.
for as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the son of man be in his day.
