بنو جبعون خمسة وتسعون.

واما سكان جبعون لما سمعوا بما عمله يشوع باريحا وعاي

ومن سبط بنيامين جبعون ومسرحها وجبع ومسرحها

وفي جبعون سكن ابو جبعون واسم امرأته معكة.

ففعل داود كما امره الله وضربوا محلّة الفلسطينيين من جبعون الى جازر

اخذوا كل الرجال وساروا ليحاربوا اسماعيل بن نثنيا فوجدوه عند المياه الكثيرة التي في جبعون.

then solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at gibeon to jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over israel.
فجاء سليمان من المرتفعة التي في جبعون الى اورشليم من امام خيمة الاجتماع وملك على اسرائيل.

for the tabernacle of the lord, which moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at gibeon.
ومسكن الرب الذي عمله موسى في البرية ومذبح المحرقة كانا في ذلك الوقت في المرتفعة في جبعون.

and next unto them repaired melatiah the gibeonite, and jadon the meronothite, the men of gibeon, and of mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river.
وبجانبهما رمم ملطيا الجبعوني ويادون الميرونوثي من اهل جبعون والمصفاة الى كرسي والي عبر النهر.

that they feared greatly, because gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.
خاف جدا لان جبعون مدينة عظيمة كاحدى المدن الملكية وهي اعظم من عاي وكل رجالها جبابرة.

and the children of israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. now their cities were gibeon, and chephirah, and beeroth, and kirjath-jearim.
فارتحل بنو اسرائيل وجاءوا الى مدنهم في اليوم الثالث. ومدنهم هي جبعون والكفيرة وبئيروت وقرية يعاريم.

and the lord discomfited them before israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to beth-horon, and smote them to azekah, and unto makkedah.
فازعجهم الرب امام اسرائيل وضربهم ضربة عظيمة في جبعون وطردهم في طريق عقبة بيت حورون وضربهم الى عزيقة والى مقيدة.

and joab the son of zeruiah, and the servants of david, went out, and met together by the pool of gibeon: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.
وخرج يوآب ابن صروية وعبيد داود فالتقوا جميعا على بركة جبعون وجلسوا هؤلاء على البركة من هنا وهؤلاء على البركة من هناك.
