আর তারা নিশ ্ চয়ই তাই বলে যা তারা করে না ? --

আর তারা নিশ ্ চয়ই তাই বলে যা তারা করে না ? --

আর যখন তাদের স ্ মরণ করিয়ে দেওয়া হয় তারা মনোযোগ দেয় না ,

between them a barrier they do not overpass .
উভয়ের মাঝখানে রয়েছে এক অন ্ তরাল , যা তারা অতিক ্ রম করে না ।

no ! indeed , they do not fear the hereafter .
কখনও না , বরং তারা পরকালকে ভয় করে না ।

do they not consider how many of the generations have we destroyed before them , because they do not turn to them ?
তারা কি দেখে নি তাদের পূর ্ বে কত মানবগোষ ্ ঠীকে আমরা ধ ্ বংস করেছি , কেননা তারা তাঁদের প ্ রতি ফিরতো না ?

that is because they believe , then disbelieve , so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand .
এটা এজন ্ য যে , তারা বিশ ্ বাস করার পর পুনরায় কাফের হয়েছে । ফলে তাদের অন ্ তরে মোহর মেরে দেয়া হয়েছে । অতএব তারা বুঝে না ।

indeed they have a greater awe of you in their hearts than of allah . that is because they are a lot who do not understand .
তোমরাই বরং তাদের অন ্ তরে আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র চাইতেও অধিকতর ভয়াবহ । এ এইজন ্ য যে তারা হচ ্ ছে এমন এক লোকদল যারা বুদ ্ ধি- বিবেচনা রাখে না ।

and they have lost what they used to worship before , and be sure , they do not have a place to escape .
আর এর আগে যাদের তারা ডাকত তারা তাদের থেকে অদৃশ ্ য হয়ে যাবে , আর তারা বুঝবে যে তাদের জন ্ য কোনো আশ ্ রয় নেই ।

and for those who dispute regarding our signs to realise ; that they do not have a place to escape to .
আর যেন যারা আমাদের নিদর ্ শনগুলো সন ্ বন ্ ধে তর ্ কবিতর ্ ক করে তারা জানতে পারে । তাদের জন ্ য কোনো আশ ্ রয়স ্ থল নেই ।

গল্পকার ও সাংবাদিক মাহবুব মোর্শেদ সামর্থ্য না থাকলে বেসরকারি নামী-দামী হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা নিতে না যাওয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন:

আর আমরা জাহান ্ নামের জন ্ য নিশ ্ চয়ই ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছি জিন ও মানুষের মধ ্ যের অনেককে , -- তাদের হৃদয় আছে তা দিয়ে তারা বুঝে না , আর তাদের চোখ আছে তা দিয়ে তারা দেখে না , আর তাদের কান আছে তা দিয়ে তারা শোনে না । তারা গবাদি-পশুর ন ্ যায় , বরং তারা আরো পথভ ্ রষ ্ ট । তারা নিজেরাই হচ ্ ছে উদাসীন ।

that is because they came to believe , and then renounced ( their faith ) . so their hearts were sealed ; and now they do not understand .
এটা এজন ্ য যে , তারা বিশ ্ বাস করার পর পুনরায় কাফের হয়েছে । ফলে তাদের অন ্ তরে মোহর মেরে দেয়া হয়েছে । অতএব তারা বুঝে না ।

and they stop ( others ) from it and run away from it ; and they ruin none except themselves , and they do not have sense .
আর তারা অন ্ যকে নিষেধ করে এ থেকে , আর এ থেকে তারা দূরে চলে যায় , আর তারা অবশ ্ যই ধ ্ বংস করে শুধু তাদের নিজেদেরই , কিন ্ ত তারা অনুভব করে না ।
