whosoever disbelieveth , on him is his infidelity , and those who work righteously are preparing for themselves .
যে কুফরী করে , তার কফুরের জন ্ যে সে-ই দায়ী এবং যে সৎকর ্ ম করে , তারা নিজেদের পথই শুধরে নিচ ্ ছে ।

and we set it forth among them , that they may be admonished , but most men begrudge aught save infidelity .
আর আমরা নিশ ্ চয়ই এটিকে বিতরণ করি তাদের মধ ্ যে যেন তারা স ্ মরণ করতে পারে , কিন ্ ত অধিকাংশ লোকেই প ্ রত ্ যাখ ্ যান করা ছাড়া আর কিছুতে একমত হয় না ।

nay ! allah hath cursed them because of their infidelity : little wherefore it is they believe .
আর তারা বলে -- “ আমাদের হৃদয় হলো গেলাফ ! ” না , আল ্ লাহ ্ তাদের বঞ ্ চিত করেছেন তাদের অবিশ ্ বাসের জন ্ য । তাই যৎসামান ্ যই যা তারা বিশ ্ বাস করে ।

and as for the boy , his parents were believers , and we apprehended that he might impose upon the twain exorbitance and infidelity .
''আর বালকটি সন্বন্ধে -- এর পিতামাতা ছিল মুমিন, আর আমরা আশংকা করছিলাম যে সে বিদ্রোহাচরণ ও অবিশ্বাস পোষণের ফলে তাদের ব্যতিব্যস্ত করবে,

already hath the judgment , ( for their infidelity ) proved true of most of them , for they believe not .
তাদের অধিকাংশের জন ্ যে শাস ্ তির বিষয় অবধারিত হয়েছে । সুতরাং তারা বিশ ্ বাস স ্ থাপন করবে না ।

nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords . would he command you to infidelity after you have submitted ?
আর সে তোমাদের আদেশ করবে না যে তোমরা ফিরিশ ্ ‌ তাদের ও নবীদের প ্ রভুরূপে গ ্ রহণ করবে । সে কি তোমাদের আদেশ করবে অবিশ ্ বাসের দিকে , তোমরা মুসলিম হবার পরে ?

and assuredly we have variously propounded for mankind in this qur 'an every kind of similitude , yet most men have refused everything except infidelity .
আমি এই কোরআনে মানুষকে বিভিন ্ ন উপকার দ ্ বারা সব রকম বিষয়বস ্ তু বুঝিয়েছি । কিন ্ তু অধিকাংশ লোক অস ্ বীকার না করে থাকেনি ।

on that day they were closer to infidelity than they were to faith . they say with their mouths what is not in their hearts ; but god knows what they hide .
আর যেন তিনি জানতে পারেন তাদের যারা কপটতা করে , আর তাদের বলা হয়েছিল -- ''এসো, আল্লাহ্‌র পথে যুদ্ধ করো, অথবা আ‌ত্মরক্ষা করো।’’ তারা বলেছিল -- ''আমরা যদি যুদ্ধ করতে জানতাম তবে আমরা নিঃসন্দেহ তোমাদের অনুসরণ করতাম।’’ সেদিন তারা ঈমানের চাইতে অবিশ্বাসের নিকটতর হয়েছিল। তারা তাদের মুখ দিয়ে বলছিল যা তাদের অন্তরে ছিল না, আর আল্লাহ্ ভালো জানেন যা তারা লুকোচ্ছে।

o ye who believe ! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above faith : if any of you do so , they do wrong .
ওহে যারা ঈমান এনেছ ! তোমাদের পিতৃবর ্ গকে ও তোমাদের ভ ্ রাতৃবৃন ্ দকে তোমরা অভিভাবকরূপে গ ্ রহণ করো না যদি তারা বিশ ্ বাসের চাইতে অবিশ ্ বাসকেই ভালোবাসে । আর তোমাদের মধ ্ যে যে কেউ তাদের মুরব ্ বীরূপে গ ্ রহণ করে তবে তারা নিজেরাই হবে অন ্ যায়কারী ।

and if they violate their oaths after their covenant and revile your religion , fight those leaders of infidelity-verily no oaths will hold in their case that haply they may desist .
আর তারা যদি তাদের চুক ্ তি সম ্ পাদনের পরেও তাদের প ্ রতি ‌ শ ্ রুতি ভঙ ্ গ করে আর তোমাদের ধর ্ ম নিয়ে বিদ ্ রূপ করে তবে অবিশ ্ বাসের সর ্ দারদের সাথে যুদ ্ ধ করো , -- নিঃসন ্ দেহ তাদের বেলা প ্ রতিজ ্ ঞাসব তাদের কাছে কিছুই নয় , -- যেন তারা বিরত হতে পারে ।

and when they come to you they say : we believe ; whereas surely with infidelity they entered and surely with it they went forth . and allah is knower of that which they have been concealing .
আর যখন তারা তোমাদের কাছে আসে তারা বলে -- ' আমরা ঈমান এনেছি ’ , কিন ্ তু আসলে তারা ভরতি হয়েছিল অবিশ ্ বাস নিয়ে আর এখন বেরিয়েও গেছে তাতেই । আর আল ্ লাহ ্ ভালো জানেন কি তারা লুকোচ ্ ছে ।

it is not for such as join gods with allah , to visit or maintain the mosques of allah while they witness against their own souls to infidelity . the works of such bear no fruit : in fire shall they dwell .
মুশরিকদের কোনো অধিকার নেই যে তারা আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র মসজিদগুলো দেখাশোনা করবে যখন তারা তাদের নিজেদের বিরুদ ্ ধে অবিশ ্ বাসের সাক ্ ষ ্ য দেয় । এরাই তারা যাদের কাজকর ্ ম ব ্ যর ্ থ হয়েছে , আর আগুনের মধ ্ যে তারাই অবস ্ থান করবে ।

and let not those grieve thee who hasten toward infidelity ; verily they shall not harm allah at all . allah desireth not to provide for them a portion in the hereafter ; and theirs shall be a torment mighty .
আর যারা অবিশ ্ বাসের প ্ রতি ধাবিত হয় তারা যেন তোমাকে দুঃখিত না করে , নিঃসন ্ দেহ তারা আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র কোনো ক ্ ষতি করতে পারে না । আল ্ লাহ ্ চান যে আখেরাতে তাদের জন ্ য লাভের কিছুই থাকুক না , আর তাদের জন ্ য রয়েছে কঠোর শাস ্ তি ।
