ለእነርሱም በምድር ላይ ልናስመች ፈርዖንንና ሃማንንም ሰራዊቶቻቸውንም ከእነሱ ይፈሩት የነበሩትን ነገር ልናሳያቸው ( እንሻለን ) ፡ ፡

for it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
ብዙ ልጆችን ወደ ክብር ሲያመጣ የመዳናቸውን ራስ በመከራ ይፈጽም ዘንድ፥ ከእርሱ የተነሣ ሁሉ በእርሱም ሁሉ ለሆነ፥ ለእርሱ ተገብቶታልና።

your lord creates what he will and chooses ( for his tasks ) whomsoever he will . it is not for them to make the choice .
ጌታህም የሚሻውን ይፈጥራል ፤ ይመርጣልም ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱ ( ለሰዎቹ ) ምርጫ የላቸውም ፡ ፡ አላህ ከማይግገባው ሁሉ ጠራ ፡ ፡ ከሚያጋሯቸውም ላቀ ፡ ፡

are we to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth ? are we to make the righteous as the wicked ?
በእውነቱ እነዚያን ያመኑትንና መልካሞችን የሠሩትን በምድር ውስጥ እንደሚያጠፉት እናደርጋለን ? ወይስ አላህን ፊረዎቹን እንደ ከሓዲዎቹ እናደርጋለን ?

if god were to make the day perpetual till the day of resurrection , what other god but god would bring you night for rest ? why do you not reflect ?
አያችሁን « አላህ በእናንተ ላይ ቀንን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ዘውታሪ ቢያደርገው ከአላህ ሌላ በውስጡ የምታርፉበትን ሌሊት የሚያመጣላችሁ አምላክ ማን ነው ( ንገሩኝ ) አታስተውሉምን » በላቸው ፡ ፡

that is better for you and purer . but if you cannot afford [ to make the offering ] , then allah is indeed all-forgiving , all-merciful .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! መልክተኛውን በተወያያችሁ ጊዜ ከመወያየታችሁ በፊት ምጽዋትን አስቀድሙ ፡ ፡ ይህ ለእናንተ መልካም ነው ፡ ፡ አጥሪም ነው ፡ ፡ ባታገኙም አላህ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

( through the resurrection ) god wants to make a clear distinction between right and wrong and make the unbelievers know that they were liars .
( የሚቀሰቅሳቸውም ) ለእነሱ ያንን በእርሱ የሚለያዩበትን ሊገልጽላቸው ፤ እነዚያ የካዱትም እነሱ ውሸታሞች የነበሩ መኾናቸውን እንዲያውቁ ነው ፡ ፡

if allah were to make the day perpetual over you to the day of judgment , what god is there other than allah , who can give you a night in which ye can rest ? will ye not then see ?
አያችሁን « አላህ በእናንተ ላይ ቀንን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ዘውታሪ ቢያደርገው ከአላህ ሌላ በውስጡ የምታርፉበትን ሌሊት የሚያመጣላችሁ አምላክ ማን ነው ( ንገሩኝ ) አታስተውሉምን » በላቸው ፡ ፡

and do not lie in ambush by every path [ of life ] seeking to overawe or to hinder from the path of allah those who believe , nor seek to make the path crooked . remember , how you were once few , and then he multiplied you , and keep in mind what was the end of mischiefmakers .
« ( ሰዎችን ) የምታስፈራሩና ከአላህም መንገድ በእርሱ ያመኑትን የምታግዱ መጥመሟንም የምትፈልጉዋት ኾናችሁ በየመንገዱ አትቀመጡ ፡ ፡ ጥቂቶችም በነበራችሁና ባበዛችሁ ጊዜ አስታውሱ ፡ ፡ የአጥፊዎችም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደነበረ ተመልከቱ ፡ ፡ »

and he began to make the ark ; and whenever the chiefs from among his people passed by him they laughed at him . he said : if you laugh at us , surely we too laugh at you as you laugh ( at us ) .
