नींद से प्रीति न रख, नहीं तो दरिद्र हो जाएगा; आंखें खोल तब तू रोटी से तृप्त होगा।

and do not incline to the wrongdoers lest you are touched by the fire , for then you shall not be helped . you have no guardians other than allah .
और जिन लोगों ने अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म किया है उनकी तरफ माएल न होना और वरना तुम तक भी की आग आ लपटेगी और ख़ुदा के सिवा और लोग तुम्हारे सरपरस्त भी नहीं हैं फिर तुम्हारी मदद कोई भी नहीं करेगा

believers , if one who publicly commits sins brings you any news , ascertain its truthfulness carefully , lest you harm people through ignorance and then regret what you have done .
ऐ ईमानदारों अगर कोई बदकिरदार तुम्हारे पास कोई ख़बर लेकर आए तो ख़ूब तहक़ीक़ कर लिया करो कि तुम किसी क़ौम को नादानी से नुक़सान पहुँचाओ फिर अपने किए पर नादिम हो

among these nations you shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot: but yahweh will give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul;
और उन जातियों में तू कभी चैन न पाएगा, और न तेरे पांव को ठिकाना मिलेगा; क्योंकि वहां यहोवा ऐसा करेगा कि तेरा हृदय कांपता रहेगा, और तेरी आंखे धुंधली पड़ जाएगीं, और तेरा मन कलपता रहेगा;

you shall burn the engraved images of their gods with fire. you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourself, lest you be snared in it; for it is an abomination to yahweh your god.
उनके देवताओं की खुदी हुई मूर्त्तियां तुम आग में जला देना; जो चांदी वा सोना उन पर मढ़ा हो उसका लालच करके न ले लेना, नहीं तो तू उसके कारण फन्दे में फंसेगा; क्योंकि ऐसी वस्तुएं तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में घृणित हैं।

you shall not go out from the door of the tent of meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of yahweh is on you." they did according to the word of moses.
और तुम लोग मिलापवाले तम्बू के द्वार के बाहर न जाना, ऐसा न हो कि तुम मर जाओ; क्योंकि यहोवा के अभिषेक का तेल तुम पर लगा हुआ है। मूसा के इस वचन के अनुसार उन्हों ने किया।।

but of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, god has said, 'you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"
पर जो वृक्ष बाटिका के बीच में है, उसके फल के विषय में परमेश्वर ने कहा है कि न तो तुम उसको खाना और न उसको छूना, नहीं तो मर जाओगे।

do not take oaths to deceive each other , lest your foot should slip after its firmness , lest you should taste evil , for you barred others from the path of allah , and lest a mighty punishment awaits you .
और तुम अपनी क़समों को आपस में के फसाद का सबब न बनाओ ताकि क़दम जमने के बाद उखड़ जाएँ और फिर आख़िरकार क़यामत में तुम्हें लोगों को ख़ुदा की राह से रोकने की पादाश में अज़ाब का मज़ा चखना पड़े और तुम्हारे वास्ते बड़ा सख्त अज़ाब हो
