he it is who hath appointed for you the night that ye may repose therein and the day enlightening. verily in that are signs for a people who listen.

it is god who made for you the night, to repose in it, and the day, to see. surely god is bountiful to men, but most men are not thankful.
アッラーこそは，あなたがたのために夜を設けて憩いの時とされ，またものが見えるように昼を設けられる方である。アッラーは人間に対し，本当に恵み深くあられる。だが人びとの多くは感謝しない。

have they not seen how we made the night for them, to repose in it, and the day, to see? surely in that is a sign for a people who are believers.
かれらは気が付かないのか。われはかれらの憩いのために夜を設け，またものが見えるように昼を定めたではないか。本当にこの中には，信じる人びとへの印がある。

allah it is who hath appointed for you the night that ye may repose therein, and day enlightening. verily allah is the lord of grace for mankind; bur most of mankind return not thanks.

and of his signs is that he created for you, of yourselves, spouses, that you might repose in them, and he has set between you love and mercy. surely in that are signs for a people who consider.
またかれがあなたがた自身から，あなたがたのために配偶を創られたのは，かれの印の一つである。あなたがたはかの女らによって安らぎを得るよう（取り計らわれ），あなたがたの間に愛と情けの念を植え付けられる。本当にその中には，考え深い者への印がある。

and why should we not repose our trust in god when he has shown us our paths of duty to him? we shall bear with fortitude the hardships you inflict upon us. the trusting place their trust in god."
「どうしてわたしたちは，アッラーを信頼しないでいられようか。かれはわたしたちを（従うべき）道に導かれる。わたしたちは，あなたがたが加える迫害に何処までも耐え忍ぶであろう。信頼する者たちは，アッラーにこそ全てを御任せすべきである。」

say: 'what think you? if god should make the day unceasing over you, until the day of resurrection, what god other than god shall bring you night to repose in? will you not see?
言ってやるがいい。「あなたがたは考えられるのか。アッラーが復活の日まで昼を続けられたとすれば，休息する夜をあなたがたに与えられるものは，アッラーの外にどんな神があるのか。あなたがたはなお分らないのか。」
