ṛṛuḥ i wen-d-ițțunefken mačči d ṛṛuḥ ara kkun-irren d aklan iwakken aț-țɛicem di tugdi, meɛna d ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i kkun-irran d arraw n ṛebbi, yis i nezmer a nessiwel i sidi ṛebbi : « a baba-tneɣ ! »

and jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the spirit of god descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
mi gețwaɣḍes sidna Ɛisa, yeffeɣ-ed seg waman ; imiren kan ldin igenwan, yers-ed fell-as ṛṛuḥ n sidi ṛebbi s ṣṣifa n tetbirt.
