căci aţi adus aici pe oamenii aceştia, cari nu sînt vinovaţi nici de jăfuirea templului, nici de hulă împotriva zeiţei noastre.

and when those who disbelieve behold thee they only take thee up for mockery: is this he who mentioneth your gods? while in the mention of the compassionate they are themselves blasphemers.
când cei care tăgăduiesc te văd, te iau numai în zeflemea: “aceasta este cel care îi aminteşte pe dumnezeii voştri?” ei nu cred în amintirea milostivului.

who, then, doth more wrong than one who utters a lie concerning allah, and rejects the truth when it comes to him; is there not in hell an abode for blasphemers?
cine este mai nedrept decât cel care Îl huleşte pe dumnezeu şi scoate adevărul minciună când vine la el? oare în gheena nu este un sălaş pentru tăgăduitori?

abraham said, “god brings the sun from the east, so bring it from the west,” so the blasphemer was confounded.
abraham îi spuse: “dumnezeu face să se ivească soarele de la răsărit, tu, fă-l să se ivească de la asfinţit!”
