Шуморо чӣ мешавад, ки аз шукӯҳи Худованд наметарсед,

he does not need any guardian to help him in his need. proclaim his greatness.
Пас Ӯро такбир гӯй, такбире шоиста!

what is the matter with you, that you do not appreciate god’s greatness?
Шуморо чӣ мешавад, ки аз шукӯҳи Худованд наметарсед,

all greatness belongs to him in the heavens and earth. he is the almighty, the all wise.
Бузургворӣ дар осмонҳову замин хоси Ӯст ва Ӯст ғолибу ҳаким!

and to him belongs greatness in the heavens and the earth, and he is the mighty, the wise.
Бузургворӣ дар осмонҳову замин хоси Ӯст ва Ӯст ғолибу ҳаким!

it is his greatness that dominates the heavens and the earth. he is the majestic and all-wise.
Бузургворӣ дар осмонҳову замин хоси Ӯст ва Ӯст ғолибу ҳаким!

and he and his soldiers wrongfully sought greatness in the land, and assumed they would never be brought back to us.
Ӯ ва лашкарҳояш ба ноҳақ дар замин саркашӣ карданд ва пиндоштанд, ки ба назди мо бозгардонида намешаванд.

and for him only is the greatness, in the heavens and in the earth; and he only is the most honourable, the wise.
Бузургворӣ дар осмонҳову замин хоси Ӯст ва Ӯст ғолибу ҳаким!

thereupon they will say, “such greatness is only that of allah”; say, “so why do you not fear?”
Хоҳанд гуфт: «Худо». Бигӯ: «Оё наметарсед?»

this abode of the hereafter – we make it for those who do not wish greatness in the land nor turmoil; and the hereafter is only for the pious.
Ин ҷаҳони охиратро аз они касоне сохтаем, ки дар ин ҷаҳон на хоҳони такаббурӣ ҳастанд ва на хоҳони фасод. Ва саранҷоми нек аз они парҳезгорон аст.

and when the caravan had departed, their father said: most surely i perceive the greatness of yusuf, unless you pronounce me to be weak in judgment.
Чун корвон ба роҳ афтод, падарашон гуфт: «Агар маро девона нахонед, бӯи Юсуф ҳис мекунам».

strengthen you by (providing) you wealth and children, and make gardens and streams for you. what is the matter with you that you are not afraid of the greatness of god
Шуморо чӣ мешавад, ки аз шукӯҳи Худованд наметарсед,

(these servants of god) will not intercede with him for anyone without his permission and they tremble in awe (before his greatness).
Ва онон ҷуз касонерю, ки Худо аз онҳо хушнуд аст, шафоъат намекунанд ва аз бими Ӯ ларзонанд.

they said: have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our fathers upon, and (that) greatness in the land should be for you two?
Гуфтанд: «Оё омадаӣ, то моро аз он дин, ки падаронамонро бар он ёфтаем, дур созӣ, то дар замин сарварӣ ёбед?

and when they will quarrel amongst themselves in the fire, those who were weak will say to those who sought greatness, “we were your followers, so will you reduce from us some of the punishment of the fire?”
Ва он гоҳ дар даруни оташ бо якдигар ба муҷодала бархезанд ва нотавонон ба гарданкашон гӯянд, ки мо пайравони шумо будем, оё метавонед андаке аз ин оташе, ки насиби мо шудааст, кам кунед?

(instead of this,) they began to follow that (magic) to which the devils falsely attributed (the greatness of) the kingdom of solomon. in fact solomon was never involved in any practice of disbelief, but the satans, who taught magic to the people were themselves guilty of disbelief.
Ва ба афсуне, ки девҳо ба рӯзгори подшоҳии Сулаймон мехонданд, пайравӣ карданд ва Сулаймон кофир набуд, вале девҳо, ки мардумро ҷодугарӣ меомӯхтанд, кофир буданд.
