and souls are engrained with greed.

and you readily devour the inheritance with greed.

greed for more and more distracted you [from god]
Ба ғафлат кашид шуморо фахр кардан ба бисёрии молу фарзанд,

whoever controls his greed will have everlasting happiness.
Ва онон, ки аз бахилии худ дар амон монда бошанд, наҷотёфтагонанд!

and human inner-selves are swayed by greed.
Ва бахиливу мумсиқӣ бар нафсҳои мардум ғалаба дорад.

those who control their greed will have everlasting happiness.
Ва онон, ки аз ҳирси нафси худ дар амон мондаанд, наҷот ёфтагонанд.

and whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful.
Ва онон, ки аз ҳирси нафси худ дар амон мондаанд, наҷот ёфтагонанд.

reconciliation is good even though men's souls are swayed by greed.
Ва бахиливу мумсиқӣ бар нафсҳои мардум ғалаба дорад.

those who guard themselves against their own greed will surely prosper:
Ва онон, ки аз ҳирси нафси худ дар амон мондаанд, наҷот ёфтагонанд.

and whosoever are preserved from their own greed, such are the ones that will prosper.
Ва онон, ки аз бахилии худ дар амон монда бошанд, наҷотёфтагонанд!

and whosoever is saved from the greed of his own soul; those are the winners.
Ва онон, ки аз ҳирси нафси худ дар амон мондаанд, наҷот ёфтагонанд.

and those who are saved from their own greed—it is they who are the felicitous.
Ва онон, ки аз бахилии худ дар амон монда бошанд, наҷотёфтагонанд!

the souls are prone to greed; but if you are virtuous and godwary, allah is indeed well aware of what you do.
Ва бахиливу мумсиқӣ бар нафсҳои мардум ғалаба дорад. Ва агар некӣ ва парҳезгорӣ кунед, Худо ба ҳар чӣ мекунед, огоҳ аст!

but when the danger passes away, their greed for wealth prompts them to greet you with their sharp, scissor-like tongues.
Инҳо имон наёвардаанд.

they give them preference over themselves, even if they too are needy: those who are saved from their own souls' greed are truly successful.
Ва аз он чӣ муҳоҷиронро дода мешавад, дар дил эҳсоси ҳасад намекунанд ва дигаронро бар худ ихтиёр мекунанд, ҳарчанд худ мӯҳтоҷ бошанд. Ва онон, ки аз бахилии худ дар амон монда бошанд, наҷотёфтагонанд!

and (when you find yourself) in the presence of your lord and the rows and rows of angels, your greed for riches will certainly be of no avail to you.
ва амри Парвардигори ту фаро расад ва фариштагон саф дар саф шаванд

here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of allah - but among you are those who withhold [out of greed].
Огоҳ бошед ки шуморо даъват мекунанд то дар роҳи Худо садақа кунед.

and if a woman fears ill treatment from her husband or disinterest, so it is no sin for them if they reach an agreement of peace between themselves; and peace is better; and the heart is trapped in greed; and if you do good and practice piety, then allah is well aware of it.
Агар зане дарёфт, ки шавҳараш бо ӯ бемеҳр ва аз ӯ безор шудааст, боке нест, ки ҳар ду дар миёни худ тарҳи оштӣ афкананд, ки оштӣ беҳтар аст. Ва бахиливу мумсиқӣ бар нафсҳои мардум ғалаба дорад.
